It’s as if the country was placed in a time capsule for fifty years and suddenly emerged\, opening the doors to all who wish to explore.  One can certainly feel the complexities of Cuba’s history and the strength of those who call it their home.  The music makes you dance and the arts convey the struggles and triumphs.  The ranchers are as rugged as the untouched land and the cigars are worth the trip alone.  Cuba is absolutely fascinating. \nHunt’s Photo and Don Toothaker want to welcome guest instructor Laura L. Gingerich to this photography workshop.  We plan to challenge you to slow down\, think\, observe\, anticipate and feel each and every shot.  Our days will be full of photographic opportunities\, instruction and discussion as we experience a very unique look into the heart and soul of Cuba. \nPlease note that this workshop is being coordinated by our travel agency. DESCRIPTION:Why use Photoshop? One of the most fun and creative ways to utilize Adobe Photoshop (as opposed to many other editing programs\, including Lightroom) is Photoshop’s ability to use multiple layers. Adding textures to photographs or areas of a photograph are an excellent opportunity to add character\, depth\, and a uniqueness to an image!\nIn this class\, we will demonstrate and work with images in a step-by-step process to take a photo from Lightroom (or anywhere on your computer)\, import into Photoshop\, add a texture\, and then save the file. We will be providing some textures that we have created for each student and will also provide images for you to practice on. This class will specifically cover…\n•Layers\n•Masking\n•Blend modes \nThe tools we utilize here don’t need to end with just textures. The concepts we will cover in the class can also be applied to other areas–changing the opacity of a layer or image\, creating masks which allow you to change one specific area of a photo\, and more. If you have an interest in learning more about Photoshop\, this is an excellent opportunity! \nNo previous Photoshop knowledge is required\, but we recommend bringing a laptop for this class with Adobe Photoshop CC installed.
