DESCRIPTION:Despite what many might believe\, documenting our food isn’t a new fad because of Instagram. In fact\, artists have been painting\, sculpting\, and using their food as a subject for centuries. Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we discuss everything you need to get started with food photography including gear\, props\, and shooting techniques. Next we’ll transition to a live demo as Emily Hojnowski styles\, composes\, and lights her scene all while she explains the “how” and the “why.” Then it’s your turn! We’ll have various foods\, props\, lighting\, and backgrounds for you to put all you’ve learned into action. The most difficult part of this workshop is not eating our subjects!  \nBrief synopsis of the day\n9am- Introductions\, presentation on food photography\n10am- Demos on lighting\, composing\, and styling food\n12pm- Begin photographing food (provided)\n2:30pm- Review of images \n \nIf you are attending this workshop\, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the workshop. The use of water\, steam\, and electric power evolved textile production into a mega industry.  The mills of Lowell\, Massachusetts were a key player in the evolution of work production as they mass-produced textiles for the country and the world.  Boott Cotton Mills in Lowell represents several period mills that offer a glimpse into textile production almost 200 years ago.\nWe will explore and create images that tell the story of these cotton mills.  Join us for a creative day of looking into the past!
