The spellbinding history from the early Carribean-Spanish explorers to the mid- twentieth century reads like a legendary novel.  Life for the Cuban people changed dramatically in the 1960’s.  It’s as if the country was placed in a time capsule for fifty years and suddenly emerged\, opening the doors to all who wish to explore.  One can certainly feel the complexities of Cuba’s history and the strength of those who call it their home.  The music makes you dance and the arts convey the struggles and triumphs.  The ranchers are as rugged as the untouched land and the cigars are worth the trip alone.  Cuba is absolutely fascinating. \nHunt’s Photo and Don Toothaker want to welcome guest instructor Erica Robinson to this photography workshop.  We plan to challenge you to slow down\, think\, observe\, anticipate and feel each and every shot.  Our days will be full of photographic opportunities\, instruction and discussion as we experience a very unique look into the heart and soul of Cuba. \nYour trip includes:\n•8 days & 7 nights in Havana\, Viñales and Trinidad\, Cuba.\n•Optional 3-day\, 2 night extension to Trinidad\n•24/7 Photography coaching\, tips\, tutorials and lessons.\n•Round trip airfare from Miami\, Tampa\, or Fort Lauderdale\, Florida to Havana.\n•Cuban visa processing and fee (There is an additional fee for Cuban born travelers).\n•Medical insurance while visiting Cuba.\n•All airline and airport fees (U.S. & Cuba except baggage & excess weight fees).\n•Ground transportation within Cuba.\n•All accommodations while visiting Cuba (Private Bed & Breakfast with air conditioned rooms and en-suite bathrooms).\n•Entrance fees when applicable.\n•All gratuities are included.\n•Experienced tour guides (English\, Spanish\, Portuguese and French speaking are available).\n•All meals are included (two “mixed” National drinks). SUMMARY:Flash! Speedlights 101- Hunt's Photo\, Providence
DESCRIPTION:This workshop specifically illustrates and teaches students to understand flash\, how and why it works\, both on and off the camera. Specifically\, this class is geared at both students that are just starting out with flash\, as well as those that have been using flash\, but want to learn how to use it more effectively on the camera. Our workshop will emphasize how to best use the flash on-camera. The workshop will also cover light modifiers\, gels and an in-depth description of how to make it work\, including internal remote triggering. Speedlight photography is integral to creating interesting and dynamic photography. Any brand-flash is welcomed and can be discussed. \nWe will begin discussing camera and flash settings\, then move on to photographing each other (as test subjects). For the second half of the class\, we will have a model to photograph. \nThe following will be covered in this class- \n•Settings on your camera\n•Settings on your flash\n•Integrating the two together\n•Flash compensation- Changing brightness of your flash output from picture to picture\n•Direction of Flash\n•Using light modifiers with flash\n•How to appropriately utilize your environment\n•Mixing flash and ambient light\n•Introduction to internal and external triggering\n•Taking the flash off-camera\n•Shooting with additional accessories \nWe will have shooting components to practice these skills.  \n \nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.
