DESCRIPTION:Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \n  \nTo photograph sports is similar to the sport itself\, pushing the limits of your camera and lens. A knowledge of focusing\, exposure\, depth of field\, composition\, and more make for more thought-provoking sports photographs.  Above all\, photographing sports takes practice\, control\, concentration\, and a knowledge of the goal.\nIn photographing\, not every sport is created equal (for settings)! There are sports in bright\, mid-day sun; there are sports indoors under a fluorescent\, high school “sky”; there are sports with black backgrounds and sports with white backgrounds. How do we compensate in each scenario?\nIn this seminar-based class\, we will discuss many of these topics for a variety of different scenarios and sports\, including basketball\, football\, hockey\, cross-country\, and more. Topics of discussion will include:\n-Basic camera settings\n-Auto-Focusing modes and settings\n-Lens options\n-Thinking out of the Box! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that you have signed up. While many filters from the days of film are no longer relevant\, there are many effects that are unachievable without the use of filters\, even in the modern digital age! And these effects produce some of the most stunning results!\nDuring this seminar class\, we will discuss the different types of filters available for creative photography. We will also go over when and why you should use them and review how to use them. We will cover polarizing filters\, neutral density filters\, soft and hard-edge graduated filters\, close-up filters and more!
