These courses will be shorter (about 1 hour)\, online versions of many classes that we currently offer\, plus a few new ones\, and include Q&A at the end.\nBelow the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \nStill life artwork has a history dating back centuries\, and has existed in photography since it became a medium. Still life photography is often used as a way of demonstrating composition\, framing\, and lighting. This deceptively simple genre has endless variations and possibilities\, and we will spend the morning discussing some of these concepts!\nIn this online class\, we will talk about how to elevate still life images. We will discuss how to compose\, light\, and photograph your subject to convey the story and mood you envision. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. So what’s the problem? Have we made it good enough? Have we made the right steps along the way? How can we make it better? This class is all about editing one of your images.\nLeading up to this class\, we will ask for 2-3 images (RAW\, if possible) from you in order to edit ONE of them in class. We will do this with each of our 6-8 attendees and in the end\, we will have discussed a whole slew of topics that will (hopefully) make you a better editor!\nWe are constantly asked: Who should take this class? What if you’re new to Lightroom? Yes- because you’ll see the possibilities in the program! What if you don’t use Lightroom? Sure! We will be using Lightroom\, but the concepts are very similar throughout other similar programs. What if you just use a cell phone or shoot only in JPEG? I don’t see why not! Just because you shoot in JPEG or with a cell phone doesn’t mean you can’t edit your photos. This is a great all-encompassing class\, working out challenges for all levels!\nThis is a class that you can take as many times as you’d like. Since you’re constantly working with new images\, you’re always working out new challenges! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that you have signed up. About 48 hours prior to the class time\, we will send out an email with the weblink for you to follow as well as information on how to access the class online. DESCRIPTION:Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \nSo often in Lightroom\, we discuss how to “get started” in Lightroom\, giving you an introduction to the program\, and guide you through some of the basic elements of the program. But no less important are the fine details in the finished product\, and this class digs deeper into Lightroom to expand on those points.\nIn this Lightroom class\, we will focus on the “Details” and “Effects” panels in Lightroom\, covering the following: \n•Noise Reduction (Luminance\, Detail\, Contrast\, Color)\n•Image Sharpening (Radius\, Detail\, Masking)\n•Post-Crop Vignettes\n•Grain \nWe will be demoing these techniques on-screen during the class.
