DESCRIPTION:This Walk is part of our Emerging Series\, as we cautiously begin to emerge from the COVID-19 lockdown. For this series of walks\, we have chosen areas that are more spread out and with less foot traffic. We will also be limiting our group size to a maximum of 8 attendees with one instructor. After the course description (but before registration) will be guidelines for these walks. Please make sure to read them prior to registering. \nWalk Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education on a late afternoon/sunset walk of Rockport and its harbor\, Bearskin Neck\, and other points of interest. On this walk\, we will discuss exposure\, subject development\, image composition\, Black & White Photography and more. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.\n\nRockport is a premiere destination for photographers. The town is an eclectic mix of unique storefronts\, a beautiful harbor\, boats\, and a rich fishing tradition that offers a wide variety of photographic subjects.\nThis walk is an excellent opportunity both for those just starting out as well as the well-seasoned photographer. For those starting out\, there are many excellent opportunities to work on composition and subject development\, and also see how the light changes and affects your photographs throughout the evening. For the well-seasoned photographer\, Rockport has just so much of interest to offer that you can work on creating more complex compositions and other advanced themes in your work. This is truly one of the best places at any level to photograph. \nEmerging Series- A Guideline for Photo Walks during the era of COVID-19\nAs the COVID lockdown ends and social restrictions begin to ease\, we have decided to start offering our popular Hunt’s Photo Walks again.\nHunt’s Photo Education remains dedicated to the health and safety of every single attendee\, student\, and customer\, first and foremost. We also are committed to the best possible learning experience. We have put forth rules and guidelines for Photo Walks that occur during the era of COVID.\n•We will have no more than 6-8 attendees per Photo Walk with a single instructor\n•We ask that all attendees wear a mask. (Please make sure the mask covers your mouth and nose.)\n•We ask that all attendees socially distance 6 feet from one another\, unless you are attending with the other person\n•Hunt’s Photo Educators will be unable to physically handle others’ cameras\n•Consider bringing sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer\n•If you are sick or feeling unwell\, stay home! We will gladly give you credit towards a future walk! \nThese guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. DESCRIPTION:In response to COVID-19 and recommendations by the CDC of social distancing\, Hunt’s Photo Education is presenting our new series of online classes! (Hey! We wanted to do it anyway\, this just sped up the process!) These courses will be shorter (about 1 hour)\, online versions of many classes that we currently offer\, plus a few new ones\, and include Q&A at the end.\nBelow the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \nDeveloped by photographers\, for photographers\, Adobe Lightroom provides amateur enthusiast and photographers with the necessary tools for basic image management and high-level image post-production.   \nThis course focuses on how to organize your images for quick retrieval via keywords\, ratings\, and more\, as well as giving a description on how to consider organizing your photos on your computer. Specifically\, we will cover: \n•Brief Computer File Management\n•Importance of Keywords\n•Attributes– flagging\, rating\, color coding\n•Searching metadata to find images\n•And more! \nLightroom is an extremely robust and important manager of files\, and knowing how to utilize it is paramount to being able to find and edit your images! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions\, but if not\, feel free to ask them at the end. \n“You Are Being Recorded” (And Other Note Related Items)\nWe will be recording this class! The video will be available for download about 24-hours after the class for all attendees\, so don’t worry about taking unending notes. We will send this link attendees to download and rewatch at any time. In addition to this\, we will generally send out a PDF of the presentation (when applicable) and handouts on the topic. If handouts and PDFs are included\, we will send it out with the link for the video. \nCan’t attend the class? \nIf you can’t attend the class but still want to download the video\, no problem: Just sign up for the class!
