DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Education for a walk in the downtown area of Newburyport. During the walk\, we will discuss numerous aspects of photographing in the evening\, including long exposures\, composition\, subject development\, Exposure\, Black and White Photography\, and more! \nOn this walk\, we will focus on capturing this historic town during the blue hour\, civil twilight and finally into night. We can also expect the city to be dressed for the holidays. Our walk will lead us downtown and to the Gillis Memorial Bridge. Photographers of all levels are encouraged to attend! \nA Guideline for Photo Walks during the era of COVID-19\nHunt’s Photo Education remains dedicated to the health and safety of every single attendee\, student\, and customer\, first and foremost. We also are committed to the best possible learning experience. We have put forth rules and guidelines for Photo Walks that occur during the era of COVID.\n•We will have no more than 6-8 attendees per Photo Walk with a single instructor\n•We ask that all attendees wear a mask. (Please make sure the mask covers your mouth and nose.)\n•We ask that all attendees socially distance 6 feet from one another\, unless you are attending with the other person\n•Hunt’s Photo Educators will be unable to physically handle others’ cameras\n•Consider bringing sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer\n•If you are sick or feeling unwell\, stay home! We will gladly give you credit towards a future walk! \nThese guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. This is truly a prime opportunity to capture the beauty of holiday light decorations\, both indoors and outdoors. Join Hunt’s Photo Education’s Emily Hojnowski for an in-depth exploration of the settings\, the composition\, the thought process\, and more behind photographing holiday lights. Before you step out in the cold\, warm up your brain to the knowledge of how to do it! To be covered… \n• Exposure\, Focusing\, Settings\, Subject Matter\, and Gear\n• RAW vs. Jpeg shooting\n• Aperture Priority vs. Manual\n• Live View and Manual Focus \nUnderstanding the full-functionality of your camera is a necessity to improving your flexibility when photographing in a variety of situations. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable about how to change your camera’s settings in those situations. It is recommended as a follow-up to our Beginner Photography course. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked.
