SUMMARY:Online: Holiday Still Life and Food Photography with Virtual Demo
DESCRIPTION:Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \n \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a fun virtual food and still-life class–and maybe an image review\, too!\nFood! Still-Life! They’re very different topics\, but this year they’re being tied together by the holidays. The emphasis on still-life photography is lighting. The dramatic lighting of an assortment of flowers or a bowl of fruit can be striking\, and in this virtual demo\, we will discuss some of the ways to light a still-life scene\, whether it’s a mincemeat pie or a gift-wrapped present!\nWe will also cover a variety of other points during our live demo\, which will include about 3 setups\, including exposure\, composition\, focus\, depth of field\, and even how to get movement in a photograph! \nThere will also be an optional image review and critique later in the month to discuss any subsequent images you may take after the class. Students will be asked to submit 2-3 photos\, which we will discuss as a group\, covering the above topics.\nWe are very excited for this unique opportunity. While we can’t always be connected in person\, we hope this workshop gives all our attendees something to work towards during this holiday season!! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions\, but if not\, feel free to ask them at the end.\nWant to get this class after it’s been run?– We have an online store where you can purchase all our previously run classes here: https://ebay.huntsphoto.com/buy-previous-courses/ \nRegister Here for the Holiday Still Life and Food Photography class\n \nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Evening in Rockport
DESCRIPTION:This Walk is part of our Emerging Series\, as we cautiously begin to emerge from the COVID-19 lockdown. For this series of walks\, we have chosen areas that are more spread out and with less foot traffic. We will also be limiting our group size to a maximum of 8 attendees with one instructor. After the course description (but before registration) will be guidelines for these walks. Please make sure to read them prior to registering. \nWalk Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education on a late afternoon/sunset walk of Rockport and its harbor\, Bearskin Neck\, and other points of interest. On this walk\, we will discuss exposure\, subject development\, image composition\, Black & White Photography and more. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.\n\nRockport is a premiere destination for photographers. The town is an eclectic mix of unique storefronts\, a beautiful harbor\, boats\, and a rich fishing tradition that offers a wide variety of photographic subjects.\nThis walk is an excellent opportunity both for those just starting out as well as the well-seasoned photographer. For those starting out\, there are many excellent opportunities to work on composition and subject development\, and also see how the light changes and affects your photographs throughout the evening. For the well-seasoned photographer\, Rockport has just so much of interest to offer that you can work on creating more complex compositions and other advanced themes in your work. This is truly one of the best places at any level to photograph. \nEmerging Series- A Guideline for Photo Walks during the era of COVID-19\nAs the COVID lockdown ends and social restrictions begin to ease\, we have decided to start offering our popular Hunt’s Photo Walks again.\nHunt’s Photo Education remains dedicated to the health and safety of every single attendee\, student\, and customer\, first and foremost. We also are committed to the best possible learning experience. We have put forth rules and guidelines for Photo Walks that occur during the era of COVID.\n•We will have no more than 6-8 attendees per Photo Walk with a single instructor\n•We ask that all attendees wear a mask. (Please make sure the mask covers your mouth and nose.)\n•We ask that all attendees socially distance 6 feet from one another\, unless you are attending with the other person\n•Hunt’s Photo Educators will be unable to physically handle others’ cameras\n•Consider bringing sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer\n•If you are sick or feeling unwell\, stay home! We will gladly give you credit towards a future walk! \nThese guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions\, feel free to contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com. \nRegister here\n \nIf you are attending this walk\, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the walk. Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change. This email will detail any of those minor changes.\nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up. \n\n \nDress and Gear \n•Make sure to dress accordingly with the most current weather report.\n•Consider bringing wide angle or standard zoom lenses.\n•A prime lens (or even a macro) may also suit you well.\n•You can bring a telephoto zoom lens\, but be advised to bring only what you want to carry.\n•Make sure to bring your tripod with a quick release plate and a shutter release\, if you have one.\n•Feel free to bring snacks and water\, and a flashlight will likely help as well.\n•Bring an extra camera battery and memory cards.\n•As always\, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!
