DESCRIPTION:In response to COVID-19 and recommendations by the CDC of social distancing\, Hunt’s Photo Education is presenting our new series of online classes! (Hey! We wanted to do it anyway\, this just sped up the process!) These courses will be shorter (about 1 hour)\, online versions of many classes that we currently offer\, plus a few new ones\, and include Q&A at the end.\nBelow the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \nDo you have a new DSLR that you have no idea how to use? Have you had your camera for 6 months\, a year or more and want to take better pictures? Are you putting your camera away because you just don’t see the difference between your expensive camera and your smart phone? \nLearn to fully utilize your cameras potentials! Harness your creative power with photography! \nThis is one of the first classes to consider when you’re getting started with your Digital SLR or Mirrorless camera. We will discuss Exposure (how light works with the camera)\, the Big Three Settings (Aperture\, Shutter Speed\, & ISO)\, how they affect your picture and how to set them\, and what mode to set it to on your camera! We’ll discuss changing depth-of-field (controlling what’s in focus in the background\, stopping or blurring the action in your scene\, and many other basic picture-taking techniques. We recommend taking this class prior to Digital Photography Basics 2\, which is the next logical step! \nJoin us to start learning about Digital Photography! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that you have signed up. About 24 hours prior to the class time\, we will send out an email with the weblink for you to follow as well as information on how to access the class online. (It’s pretty easy\, but we’ll walk you through it in a quick online video!) \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. There are also appropriate ways to prepare oneself that make it not only tolerable\, but actually enjoyable! Join Hunt’s Photo Educator Don Toothaker as he dives into all aspects of shooting during this season of cold. Among other topics\, we will cover:\n•Keeping your gear active and dry\n•Keeping yourself warm and comfortable\n•What to photograph\nThis class is designed to help inspire you to get outside in this long winter and enjoy all the seasons for photography! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class.
