SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Beach Art and Abstracts at Plum Island
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a workshop that will emphasize creating art and abstracts at Plum Island. This is an excellent opportunity to try something different. However\, we strongly recommend you have a solid understanding of your camera. This isn’t only for advanced photographers\, but it’s really not meant for beginners.\nPlum Island provides large landscapes\, smaller landscapes\, and wonderful creative opportunities year round. We will explore various subjects to be found at the beach in early morning light using our creative vision\, Macro perspectives\, and Neutral Density filters. Join us for an energized\, creative morning at Plum Island taking a closer and more intimate look at this beautiful seaside location. \nA Guideline for Photo Walks during the era of COVID-19\nHunt’s Photo Education remains dedicated to the health and safety of every single attendee\, student\, and customer\, first and foremost. We also are committed to the best possible learning experience. We have put forth rules and guidelines for Photo Walks that occur during the era of COVID.\n•We will have no more than 6-8 attendees per Photo Walk with a single instructor\n•We ask that all attendees wear a mask. (Please make sure the mask covers your mouth and nose.)\n•We ask that all attendees socially distance 6 feet from one another\, unless you are attending with the other person\n•Hunt’s Photo Educators will be unable to physically handle others’ cameras\n•Consider bringing sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer\n•If you are sick or feeling unwell\, stay home! We will gladly give you credit towards a future walk! \nThese guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions\, feel free to contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com. \nRegister here \n \nIf you are attending this walk\, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the walk. Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change. This email will detail any of those minor changes.\nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up. \nDress and Gear \n•Make sure to dress accordingly with the most current weather report.\n•Consider bringing wide angle\, standard zoom\, and telephoto zoom lenses. 24-70 and 70-200 are good ranges\n•A prime lens (or a macro) may also suit you well.\n•Make sure to bring your tripod with a quick release plate and a shutter release\, if you have one.\n•Neutral Density Filters (ND) and Circular Polarizing filters (CPL) will be great to have on hand\n•You may bring a reflector or diffuser\, if you’d like\n•Since we may be working very close to the ground\, you should bring something to kneel on\n•Feel free to bring snacks and water\, and a flashlight will likely help as well.\n•Bring an extra camera battery and memory cards.\n•As always\, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!

SUMMARY:Online: (Shooting) Through the Looking Glass (and Other Household Objects)
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education’s Emily Hojnowski as we dive into a world of creative techniques for shooting with objects in front of the lens. In photography\, we often say not to put anything in front of your lens (except a very high quality filter!) because it can distort your image. But what if the purpose is creative?\nIn this class\, we will show both DIY options with household materials as well as using specialty photo tools\, such as the Lensbaby Omni system. We’ll also cover technical and visual aesthetics\, including lighting\, where to place your objects\, and how to create ethereal and unique effects in camera! This class will be a lot of fun with loads of creative possibilities! \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 24 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions\, but if not\, feel free to ask them at the end. \n“You Are Being Recorded” (And Other Note Related Items)\nWe will be recording this class! The video will be available for download about 24-hours after the class for all attendees\, so don’t worry about taking unending notes. We will send this link attendees to download and rewatch at any time. In addition to this\, we will generally send out a PDF of the presentation (when applicable) and handouts on the topic. If handouts and PDFs are included\, we will send it out with the link for the video. \nCan’t attend the class? \nIf you can’t attend the class but still want to download the video\, no problem: Just sign up for the class! You don’t need to attend and we will send the video and PDF link the next day! \nWant to get this class after it’s been run?– We have an online store where you can purchase all our previously run classes here: https://ebay.huntsphoto.com/buy-previous-courses/ \nRegister Here\n*Please note: We have been experiencing issues with registration on the Safari web browser\, so you may want to consider using an alternative browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox. To register\, you will need to disable pop-up blockers. If you are unsure\, you can watch this short video or go to this website to learn how to disable pop-up blockers.\n\nFlowers!\nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.
