We will emphasize creating portraits using available light through subject placement and composition through the aid of diffusers and reflectors. We will then separately demonstrate reasons to add in flash. \nWe will begin photographing mid-day in the sunlight (and shade) and work to sunset. We will then utilize lower light techniques and photograph during twilight for some spectacular portrait results! \nYou are welcome to bring your own flashes and light modifiers (soft boxes\, etc)\, but you also can use what we have with us as well. \nAfter the workshop\, attendees will be able to work with and digitally submit a handful of images for an online image review\, to be held the following week. During that time\, we will discuss a specific element of a topic and end the session by giving a photographic assignment. That assignment will be due for completion before the next class meeting\, and we will review those images at the start of the next session. They will be recorded and you will be able to watch them at your leisure!\nOur Multi-Session Series is designed to “keep the conversation going” by engaging with our attendees in a more personal way. What does it take to create a landscape image that stands out? Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we go beyond “F8 and be there” and dive deep into the technical\, artistic\, and practical aspects of landscape photography. \nIn week one\, we’ll cover what it takes to plan and the settings necessary for your best shots. We’ll also talk about the gear all landscape photographers should have in their bags and what to do when the weather just won’t cooperate. In week two\, we’ll edit landscape images from start to finish using Adobe Lightroom Classic. By week three\, we’ll discuss composition\, dynamic range\, depth of field\, and focus. We’ll also discuss when to shoot in color and when to shoot in black and white. In our last week\, we’ll cover shooting and editing HDR images and panorama images in Adobe Lightroom Classic. We’ll also cover shooting landscapes at night as well as astrolandscapes. Each week\, Emily will give an assignment to hone your new skills and each student will receive individualized critiques.
