Join Hunt’s Photo Education and our guest instructor– Media Instructor and Yearbook Advisor Jim Valente from Malden High School– for a week-long photography program aimed at strengthening their interest\, improving their photography\, and getting them truly excited about being the artist\, the creator\, and the family photographer! \nOver the course of five days\, we will cover a wide range of topics\, from composition & perspective to depth of field & movement. Every day we’ll have a brief introduction to a topic followed by a fun practical exercise. Our goal is to get your photographers outside and taking pictures as much as possible! (Inside on rainy days\, too.) At the end of the day\, we’ll look back on the images to see what we liked about them. And at the end of the week\, we’ll print and display images from all of our students in our Hunt’s Photo Gallery for all to see. \nOur goal in this program is to have a lot of fun and not bog students down with too much technical stuff. However\, we will also scaffold instruction\, so if an attendee wants to know more about the technical aspects\, they still can! \nStudents will be required to have some kind of camera. This can be a cell phone\, a point and shoot camera\, or a DSLR/mirrorless camera. Pretty much any camera that works is acceptable! (A film camera could also work\, but be advised it will be more time and cost to develop the film\, so it may not be the best choice for this program.) \nThis will be a fun week with experienced instruction. Younger children with interest and a level of responsibility are welcome to attend.
