We encourage photographers of all skill levels to consider these classes\, as they will build upon your experience and provide an excellent chance to work on your imagery! \nEditing in Adobe Lightroom\nThis is a great opportunity to build up your editing skills in Lightroom!\nAdobe Lightroom is the choice program for professionals and amateurs\, with ever-growing capabilities and options. However\, there are many levels to understanding in the program. What do we do to make basic changes? Once we learn those changes\, how can we “step it up” and figure out what to we’re supposed to do? How do we make images pop? And finally\, how do we put it all together and making finishing touches to our images.\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for this three-week course that helps answer many of these questions. What’s most important about this course is that we will give weekly editing assignments\, and we will review those edits at the start of the following week. Often\, Lightroom users struggle with the inability to determine what changes are “good” or “correct”. While those terms are subjective\, we will help you along in the editing process to see how to make determinations along the way.\nIn week one\, we’ll talk about file types and adjustment ranges using Basic Development controls. More than anything\, we will be emphasizing global changes and understanding what can be done with an image in Lightroom. In week two\, we’ll dive into Color\, Curves\, Contrast & Clarity & Texture. These changes will help make your images pop. Finally\, in week three\, we’ll discuss advanced editing\, including Sharpening\, HDR\, Pano stitching and more.\nEach week\, we will give an assignment and students will upload their edited photos prior to the next class. In this multi-session workshop\, we will discuss basic posing techniques and how to position your subject’s hands and body\, and how to use angles\, perspective\, and depth of field to create a successful portrait. We will also discuss subject expression and how it relates to lighting! This will be a very fun and informative class!\nWe will have an introductory presentation on Tuesday August 17th at 7pm where we will discuss a number of these principles. We will then meet on Sunday August 22nd at the Stevens-Coolidge Place in North Andover for the workshop. The Stevens-Coolidge place is a beautiful area for portraits and an excellent chance to learn posing. After the workshop\, attendees will be able to work with and digitally submit a handful of images for an online image review\, to be held the following week. During that image review\, we will be able to see others’ work\, discuss elements of subject positioning\, lighting\, composition and more\, and consider editing choices.\n\nThis workshop will also emphasize creating portraits using available light through subject placement and composition through the aid of diffusers and reflectors. We will begin photographing in the morning and use a variety of techniques to create successful portraits.
