Boston is the oldest marathon in the world\, with runners taking part and challenging themselves up “Heartbreak Hill” since 1897. This course is unique\, historic\, and one of the most famous in the world: A straight-forward mostly downhill race from Hopkinton to Boston\, then up and down Heartbreak Hill (actually 3 separate hills)\, and finally\, right on Hereford\, left on Boylston.\nFor this workshop\, we will begin with an online presentation in the week leading up on photographing runners\, with an emphasis on gear\, settings\, technique\, and creativity. (This will be recorded\, in case you cannot attend.) We will then meet the morning of the marathon on Heartbreak Hill right after the 30K mark. This is a great area to photograph the runners with a great level of intensity\, as it is the point right before the last of the “Heartbreak Hills”. This is going to be a fantastic opportunity to get some spectacular sports shots! Join us for the fun!\nPlease Note: For security\, large bags and backpacks are not allowed on the marathon route. You will need to carry any lenses and gear you have out in the open. \nUpdated COVID-19 Policies for outdoor Hunt’s Photo Walks and Workshops\nHunt’s Photo Education is aligning with CDC and state guidelines and will no longer require face masks for our outdoor Photo Walks. If you are more comfortable wearing a mask\, please feel free to do so. We also recommend bringing a mask\, just in case. We also ask that you maintain social distance of 6 feet from one another.\nHunt’s Photo Education will still adhere to our 8 person attendee maximum per Photo Walk with a single instructor (unless otherwise noted).\nAs always\, if you are sick or feeling unwell\, STAY HOME! We will gladly give you a credit towards a future walk. \nThese guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions\, feel free to contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com. \nRegister here \n***Having trouble registering? You can also register by

SUMMARY:Video Basics- Hunt's Photo\, Providence
DESCRIPTION:Hunt’s Photo\, Providence \nRecommended prerequisite: Prior knowledge of photography and ownership of a camera with interchangeable lenses and video functionality. \nInstructor: Video Specialist Nick Froment \nClass Size: Up to 10 attendees \nCourse Description\nPhotographers everywhere love that digital cameras have the capability of creating “videos”. But what important settings are there? How can I take full advantage of my camera that has 4K 60fps\, and what am I even saying when I say those words??? I just want to make a great video- what do I need to know?! \nWell\, fret no more! Video for Photographers is geared for…primarily photographers that want to use their camera for occasional videos! This is the class that is going to give you insight into the basic settings and why to set them; how to take full advantage of the best qualities of your camera\, and leaves a lot of the higher-end technical stuff out of the picture. \nIn this jam-packed course\, we’ll cover basic camera settings (some of which you’re used to from still photography); basic menu settings such as frame rates\, resolution\, and codecs; framing\, composition\, and cinematography basics. The goal of this course is to send you on your way much more confident about how to set up your next video. \nA clear difference: This class is not necessarily geared toward someone that is looking to branch into filmmaking (though it couldn’t hurt). This class is geared towards the photographer that wants to make casual videos. If you are a still photographer looking to branch into video to enhance your portfolio\, our Intro to Filmmaking class is a more advanced and challenging class that will dig deeper into many of these concepts. But hey\, you can always take both classes! \nPlease Note: A Slight Change to COVID-19 Policies on Masks and Social Distancing\nUntil further notice\, we will be requiring masks for our indoor classes. We also ask that you socially distance whenever possible.\nAs always\, if you are sick or feeling unwell\, STAY HOME! We will gladly give you a credit towards a future class. \nThese guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions\, feel free to contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com. \nRegister here\n***Having trouble registering? You can also register by clicking here!\n \nIf you are attending this class\, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior. Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change. This email will detail any of those minor changes.\nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up. \nWhat to Bring\n•Make sure to bring your camera and any standard lens\n•A pen and a notebook are helpful\n•As always\, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!
