To become better photographers\, it helps to understand this by creating the printed image as a final product\, which is the purpose behind the Printed Vision Series.\nEach Printed Vision topic will meet for two sessions. In the first session\, we will discuss the topic and elaborate on editing with examples. This will include discussion of exposure\, dynamic range and color\, but also deeper points\, such as noise reduction\, image sharpening and grain. In between sessions 1 and 2\, attendees will independently process 1-2 images and submit them to the instructor for printing. We will print one of the two images leading into the second session and discuss some of the challenges we face in printing them.\nYou do not need to produce a new image for this class and can go into your archives to print\, but you are welcome to go out into the field and create something new based on the topic! \nThis Month’s Printed Vision Session: Making a Fine Art Print \nTo print fine art or not to print fine art: That is the question. What does it mean to make a fine art print? What photographic papers define fine art? What editing choices should we make to get through the emotions of the print? How do we calculate our editing with our paper choices?\nIn this class\, we will discuss the answers to these questions in our instructional online presentation\, held on the first date\, then workshop your images in order to make a fine art print. We will reconvene the following week for our Printed Image Review. You will have that time period in between to edit and submit your images. In the end\, you will receive a fine art print of your edited image up to 13×19″ in size. (Please note: The cost of a 12×18 or 13×19 print on fine art paper is $35-$40; the cost of this class includes the cost of that print!)\nRemember\, tis the season\, and we don’t need to “buy buy buy” in order to give a wonderfully creative gift. During the walk\, we will discuss many of the aspects of photographing holiday lights and decorations in low light and at night\, including exposure\, focusing\, composition\, and more. Photographers of all levels are welcome!\nPortsmouth\, New Hampshire is a large eclectic town along the coast of NH. The town features a blend of new and old architecture amid a variety of shops\, restaurants\, docks\, boats\, and colors. The end of the day and night time is a rich and beautiful time for creating photographs. We will discuss and demonstrate various techniques for shooting in low light scenarios in and around Portsmouth using available light. \nUpdated COVID-19 Policies for outdoor Hunt’s Photo Walks and Workshops\nHunt’s Photo Education is aligning with CDC and state guidelines and will no longer require face masks for our outdoor Photo Walks.
