Following in the footsteps of Ansel Adams\, he mostly photographed people (children\, portraits\, weddings\, seniors\, etc.)\, which paid the bills. Over time\, he became interested in photographing wildlife and landscapes\, mostly for personal pleasure. In 1999\, he was asked to become a “Stringer” for Canon USA and has been in that position since then. It has led Robert towards teaching\, leading workshops and sharing his life-long passion with others. He always looks forward to sharing his knowledge of photography with those who are anxious to learn. \nJeff Swinger boasts nearly 30 years of professional experience built upon his passion for telling stories through images. He honed his skills over 16 years with The Cincinnati Enquirer covering news and sports and has covered four Olympic Games for USA Today Sports. Additionally\, Jeff works as an educational contributor and freelance Pro Market Representative for Canon USA and travels domestically and internationally conducting photo tours and workshops. Jeff lives with his family in Park City\, Utah.

During the walk\, we will discuss shooting in lower light with an emphasis on night photography. This will include assistance with exposure\, composition\, focusing\, use of tripods\, and a myriad of other settings and concepts! \nMuch of East Boston consists of dense residential neighborhoods\, in part as a carryover from the area’s heavy influx of immigration at the turn of the previous century\, and in part to its proximity to downtown Boston. Piers Park was developed in the mid-1990s as a contrast to this\, offering beautiful landscaping\, natural vegetation\, and stunning views of downtown Boston. On this walk\, we will photograph the grounds of Piers Park and the skyline during blue hour\, sunset\, and civil twilight. Photographers of all levels are welcome! \nAlso…\nSony rep Jon Helgason will be on this walk with Sony gear for photographers to use. If you are interested in using some Sony gear for the evening\, let us know! \nCOVID-19 Policies for outdoor Hunt’s Photo Walks and Workshops\nFace masks are recommended\, but not required for our outdoor Photo Walks. We also ask that you maintain social distance whenever possible. \nAs always\, if you are sick or feeling unwell\, STAY HOME! We will gladly give you a credit towards a future walk. \nThese guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
