DESCRIPTION:For ages\, darkroom printing was an art form that was destined only for those that had a darkroom. Now they practically give digital printers away\, and what darkroom techniques were sequestered to your basement can now be duplicated in a corner office.\nBut Digital Printing\, while simple in concept\, has a myriad number of curiosities and questions associated with it. Among the issues printers run into are color correction\, proper exposure\, ability to utilize multiple papers\, understanding how to edit for print\, how to print in black and white\, and why and when to use certain tools. In this course\, we will answer these questions\, as well as refer back to some of the more basic elements of digital printing\, including ICC profiles\, monitor calibration\, and more!\nThis class is for anyone that has set up their printer and understands some of the basic concept of printing\, but is having issues producing consistent results\, or wants to go further in understanding how to achieve the best printing results! DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we workshop how to “see”\, effectively compose and create macro images\, and finally edit in black & white.  \nCapture to Edit & Print is an intermediate workshop that focuses not only on photography\, but also on the process of editing\, this time specifically in black & white\, and printing.  We will begin by presenting some of things that we look for in the process of developing a black & white composition\, including such varied aspects from camera settings to choice of subject. We will spend a good deal of time creating and photographing compositions\, then move into the process of editing them in the classroom.  ***As an additional bonus\, we will also be creating one print a piece of something created during the day using Moab’s Fine Art papers. \nAttendees are encouraged to bring their computers–laptops or all-in-ones are fine (iMacs are welcome)–in order to do their own editing. Attendees should have Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop on their computer or a comparable program. We will be available to help with the processing of images during this time\, but we will also give live editing demonstrations. DESCRIPTION:Hunt’s Photo Education often promotes the idea of using Adobe Lightroom for most basic editing\, as the program’s interface for editing multiple images is fairly intuitive and is designed specifically for photographers. Lightroom can do quite a bit\, but there are times when Adobe Photoshop can do a better job. But where can we benefit from using Photoshop as opposed to Lightroom?\nOur course\, Lightroom to Photoshop and Back Again\, does exactly what the title says\, by starting in Lightroom\, then bringing images into Photoshop\, and then sending them back to Lightroom. We will begin by making basic changes to the images in Lightroom\, then bring them to Photoshop to fine-tune them and make the corrections that we either cannot make in Lightroom or ones that would be easier or better quality to make in Photoshop.
