Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a chance to discuss one of your images in a review and critique session\, where we will discuss many of these topics and how they work in your image.  Our Hunt’s Photo Education Team firmly believes that presenting personal work and observing peer work is paramount to the growth and development of your photographic vision. \nThis Week’s Topic\nFor this week’s topic\, all attendees will submit an edited RAW image. This can either be an image that you have edited that you feel confident in or one in which you have edited and are looking to get a second opinion. This is a great chance to look deeper into your images\, as we will really be looking into the specifics of what to set in the editing process and why. We encourage photographers of all levels to consider this course\, as it is as valuable to seasoned professional as it is to a beginner! \nThis class will be a small group of up to 10-15 attendees. Upon registering\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include a link in order to upload images to us for the image review. We will also send out a reminder email a few days prior. Make sure to leave yourself enough time to upload your photo! \nRegarding uploading of images\nFor this critique\, we ask that you export a DNG from Lightroom or Capture One\, or save as the original RAW with the XMP sidecar file. DNG is a RAW format that also embeds in all the changes you have made previously to the image and can be exported from Lightroom or Capture One. Since it’s RAW\, we can still make “lossless” changes to the DNG file\, so that’s very helpful. Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a chance to discuss one of your images in a review and critique session\, where we will discuss many of these topics and how they work in your image. Our Hunt’s Photo Education Team firmly believes that presenting personal work and observing peer work is paramount to the growth and development of your photographic vision. \nThis Week’s Topic\nFor this week’s topic\, all attendees will submit an image with Intentional Camera Movement. Intentional Camera Movement is moving your camera DURING your picture’s exposure. Moving your camera DURING the exposure is counterintuitive\, but the abstract results can be breathtaking. We recently had a presentation on Intentional Camera Movement which produced so many questions\, observations\, and thoughts about what works and what doesn’t that we decided an image critique would be a wonderful way of talking about what works! You are welcome to edit this image or leave it unedited. However\, we ask that you export the image as a DNG\, or save the RAW file with a XMP sidecar file so that we can reedit the image\, if need be. (If you’re unsure what a DNG file is\, watch this short video about exporting as DNG. If you cannot save the file in either formats\, please submit an edited and unedited version so we can reedit\, if need be.)\nWe encourage photographers of all levels to consider this course\, as it is as valuable to seasoned professional as it is to a beginner! \nThis class will be a small group of up to 10-15 attendees. So what’s the problem? Have we made it good enough? Have we made the right steps along the way? How can we make it better? This class is all about editing one of your images.\nLeading up to this class\, we will ask for 2-3 images (RAW\, if possible) from you in order to edit ONE of them in class. We will do this with each of our 6-8 attendees and in the end\, we will have discussed a whole slew of topics that will (hopefully) make you a better editor!\nWe are constantly asked: Who should take this class? What if you’re new to Lightroom? Yes- because you’ll see the possibilities in the program! What if you don’t use Lightroom? Sure! We will be using Lightroom\, but the concepts are very similar throughout other similar programs. What if you just use a cell phone or shoot only in JPEG? I don’t see why not! Just because you shoot in JPEG or with a cell phone doesn’t mean you can’t edit your photos. Macro photography can seem deceptively simply\, but it is far more challenging than meets the eye. Focus is paramount\, camera settings can vary greatly\, and\, as always\, great composition is essential. In this image review/critique\, we will focus (pun intended) on looking closer (pun also intended) at macro images with a refined eye. You are welcome to edit this image or leave it unedited. However\, we ask that you export the image as a DNG\, or save the RAW file with a XMP sidecar file so that we can reedit the image\, if need be. (If you’re unsure what a DNG file is\, watch this short video about exporting as DNG.
