SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Mills & Waterways of Lowell
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a walk in downtown Lowell\, Massachusetts to photograph the Mills & Waterways. On this walk\, we will work on architectural photography\, Image composition\, Black and White Photography\, and other ways of creating images expressively.\nThe city of Lowell is a wonderful example of an old New England mill town. A city that was once dominant in the textile industry\, Lowell’s population boomed during much of the 19th century\, peaking in the early 20th century. Lowell\, nicknamed “Mill City”\, still retains much of its’ early 20th century look (and charm)\, with many old mills being converted to apartments\, artist spaces\, shops and more. On this walk\, we will photograph around many of the mill areas and along the beautiful Merrimack River with the many bridges and cobblestone walkways. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome. \n \nIf you are attending this walk\, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the walk. Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change. This email will detail any of those minor changes.\nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Sunset & Night Sky at Pemaquid Point
DESCRIPTION:Join instructor Rick Berk for a photo walk at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse in Bristol\, Maine. During the walk\, we will discuss Image Composition\, Long Exposure\, and methods of photographing the night sky.\nPemaquid Point Lighthouse is an idyllic scenario for both sunrises and sunsets. This historic lighthouse sits within a rocky landscape and cliffside\, and in the evening hours of a clear night offers an excellent view of the milky way. This is an excellent chance to hone in on your skills using your camera during the\, golden hour\, sunset\, “blue hour”\, civil twilight\, and the night sky. We recommend bringing at least one lens with an aperture of 2.8\, preferably wider angle.\nSunset is at 8:17pm\, and the Milky Way\, weather permitting\, will be visible by 9pm. \n \nIf you are attending this workshop\, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the workshop. However\, be advised we will be meeting at Pemaquid Point in New Harbor\, Maine at the time listed. Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change. This email will detail any of those minor changes. \nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up. Also read a note on sea weather below in “Cancellations”.

SUMMARY:Hunt's Portrait Workshop- Natural Light Series- Decay- Ft. Warren\, Boston
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our summer series of natural light portrait workshops\, featuring Rural\, Urban\, & Decay. On these workshops\, we will emphasize creating portraits using available light through subject placement and composition through the aid of diffusers and reflectors. We will also discuss Subject Development\, Exposure\, Black and White Photography\, and more. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend. \nThe emphasis of each workshop date will differ slightly. \nFor our “Decay” portrait workshop\, we will be photographing with the background of Ft. Warren on George’s Island. Ft. Warren is an old Civil War fort in Boston Harbor. 200+ years of weathering give us a terrific background of stone decay\, and make an excellent background for portraits. We will discuss more thoroughly the use of black & white photography\, of excellent use in this environment. \nIn each of these environments\, we will be looking for very different looks in our portraits. We will have 1 instructor and 1 model for every 3-4 attendees. Depending on your level of experience\, we will assist in all levels\, from basic camera settings to finding and utilizing good light to working with (posing/directing) models.\nEach of these workshops will be a unique experience. \nTo sign up for Natural Light Portraits: Decay- Ft. Warren\, Boston\, on July 27th…\n \nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.\nIf you are interested in learning a little more about your camera (or anything else photographic-related) prior to the walk\, we would love to have you for a Custom 1-on-1 class.
