SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Walk: Holiday Lights at the Boston Common & Gardens
DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Education for a set of walks that concentrate on photographing holiday lights. We have chosen a myriad of locations that vary in content and location. It may seem like a lot\, but we have chosen these locations for the variety they present for attendees!\nThis year\, we will be photographing lights at Boston Common & Gardens and Christopher Columbus Park in Boston; at La Salette Shrine in Attleboro; in downtown Portland\, Newburyport\, and Portsmouth; at the Stevens-Coolidge Place for “Winterlights” in North Andover; and at Olde Sturbridge Village for their annual Christmas by Candlelight! We will discuss the many aspects that go into photographing in low-light\, especially when encountering holiday lights\, including Image Composition\, Long Exposures\, Architectural Photography and many additional aspects of photographing holiday lights. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.\nEffectively photographing holiday lights during the “blue hour” and at night can be a challenge. However\, with proper exposure and balance of composition\, you have the ability to capture great detail and color through your lenses. Join us for a terrific and beautiful experience! \nThese walks all occur at a time of the year when weather can be finicky. Curious about our weather policy? Click here! \nTo register for Holiday Lights at the Boston Common & Gardens

SUMMARY:One Light Headshots
DESCRIPTION:Creating headshots doesn’t need to be complicated\, but there is a process to it\, and a whole lot of creativity as well. Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we workshop creating headshots using only one light and reflectors. We will demonstrate and work with different setups (high key\, low key\, 3/4\, 1/2\, and more) and show how to set up lights for these situations. We can use speedlights\, studio strobes\, or LED lighting\, depending on the interest level of attendees. (We will send out a survey leading up to the workshop to see general interest in the group.) \nIn this workshop\, we will cover camera settings\, how to use speedlights or studio strobes & LED lighting\, light modifiers\, flash triggers\, and how to make it all work. For all of this\, our lights will be off the camera. We will be photographing models & actors for the practical portion of this workshop. \nA Brief Rundown of the Day\n9am- Introductions\, discussion of camera and light settings\, modifiers\, triggers\, etc.\n10am- Run-through of setups\n11:30am- Brief break for lunch\n12pm- Begin photographing models/actors\n3pm- End of day \n \nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.
