Please make sure to read them prior to registering. \nWalk Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a night walk to North Point Park with views of the Zakim Bridge. During the walk\, we will discuss Subject Development\, Image Composition\, Long Exposures\, Black and White Photography and Architectural Photography. Photographers of all levels are welcome!\nBoston and Cambridge are vibrant\, colorful cities after dark. Despite the limitations of darkness there is still great detail and color to be captured through your lenses. Our walk will take us along the Charles River to the Zakim Bridge. We will then make our way to North Point Park in Cambridge\, utilizing the evening light\, civil twilight\, and night time to enhance the architecture of these two amazing cities. \nEmerging Series- A Guideline for Photo Walks during the era of COVID-19\nAs the COVID lockdown ends and social restrictions begin to ease\, we have decided to start offering our popular Hunt’s Photo Walks again.\nHunt’s Photo Education remains dedicated to the health and safety of every single attendee\, student\, and customer\, first and foremost. We also are committed to the best possible learning experience. Whether you have a safari trip planned and need practice or you just love animals\, this walk will be diverse in subject matter and a whole lot of fun!  \nThe Franklin Park Zoo has many indoor and outdoor exhibits which present a variety of photo challenges. Learn wildlife photography in a controlled setting – no waiting hours in the hopes an animal will come along! We’ll discuss composition\, action photography\, and how to get tack sharp images even when your subject is on the move. During the walk\, we will also discuss elements that contribute to become more adept at both Black and White and night photography\, including exposure\, focusing\, composition and much more! Photographers of all skill levels are welcome!\nHaverhill\, Massachusetts was once known as the “Queen Slipper City” for its high percentage of shoes produced in the town. The town retains the look of a manufacturing town\, and this look translates extremely well to the look of Black & White photography. On this walk\, we will move about the downtown area and along the Merrimack River at dusk and into the night. During the walk\, we will discuss shooting in lower light with an emphasis on night photography. This will include assistance with exposure\, composition\, focusing\, use of tripods\, and a myriad of other settings and concepts! \nMuch of East Boston consists of dense residential neighborhoods\, in part as a carryover from the area’s heavy influx of immigration at the turn of the previous century\, and in part to its proximity to downtown Boston. Piers Park was developed in the mid-1990s as a contrast to this\, offering beautiful landscaping\, natural vegetation\, and stunning views of downtown Boston. On this walk\, we will photograph the grounds of Piers Park and the skyline during blue hour\, sunset\, and civil twilight. Please make sure to read them prior to registering. \nWalk Description\nLocated an hour west of Boston\, Sturbridge Village is a proud replication of an 18th century New England town. Sturbridge Village is a living history museum that features many authentic period buildings and homes to explore and enjoy. The village is also inhabited by re-enactors who provide colorful insight to life in New England during the 18th century. Sturbridge Village is a wonderful destination for a multitude of photographic opportunities as well as a glimpse into a bygone era. \nOlde Sturbridge Village is perhaps one of the best places to have both a Photo Walk and a class. There’s a little bit of everything at this living history museum\, from macro and closeup with fine details to architecture\, from portraits to landscapes. We will photograph both indoors and outdoors\, in regular light as well as very low light. We will discuss how to work with subjects to create a story\, and also work on settings to fine-tune focus and exposure! This Photo Walk is one of the best opportunities to build your photographic knowledge\, no matter what level. This walk is equally as beneficial as a first walk or a twentieth walk\, as the area has so much to offer! Join us for a great experience!\nDuring the era of COVID\, all actors will be wearing masks. \nPlease note: The cost of your ticket does not include entrance to Sturbridge Village. Please make sure to read them prior to registering. \nWalk Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a photo walk through MIT in Cambridge and onto Memorial Drive overlooking the Charles. On the walk\, we will discuss Architectural Photography\, Image Composition\, Long Exposures\, and Black and White Photography. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend. \nMIT is not only famous as a research institute and school\, but also for the stunning architecture that has been commissioned. These include the Landau Building (“The Wedge”)\, The Dreyfuss Building\, Simmons Hall (“The Sponge”)\, the Zesiger Center (“Z-Center”)\, the newly constructed Sean Collier Memorial\, and the Stata Center (pictured). We will discuss the many ways these pieces of architecture can be photographed in the evening and night skies. Our walk will take us in and out of the MIT campus and along Memorial Drive and the Charles River. On this walk we will discuss settings and techniques for long exposures\, architectural photography\, cityscapes\, black and white\, and composition.\nWe will start near Faneuil Hall photographing Quincy Market as the sun sets. We will also discuss “blue hour” and how to capture that vivid blue sky. We will then walk to the Old State House and work on capturing light trails and fine-tuning our long exposures. Located down the street from Tufts University\, Davis has seen a number of resurgences in recent years\, making it a wonderful place to eat\, shop\, or just walk around. Davis is the home to the famous Somerville Theater\, the Rosebud–formerly a dining car\, now a restaurant– and the “10 Figures” statues. The town features a blend of new and old architecture amid a variety of shops\, restaurants\, docks\, boats\, and colors.  The end of the day and night time is a rich and beautiful time for creating photographs. The Lighthouse is a simple beauty to behold\, with solid and simple colors that photograph well\, but under different lighting conditions can create vibrant\, striking images. This Photo Walk will offer a wide variety of shooting scenarios\, including plants and flowers with an emphasis on macro photography\, sculptures\, vintage cars\, and more. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.\nThe Heritage Museum and Gardens is “the largest public garden in Southern New England”\, with over 100 acres of beautifully kept grounds. In addition to the wide variety of trees\, shrubs\, flowers\, daylilies\, hostas\, herb\, and heather gardens\, the grounds also have historic indoor exhibits\, including one of classic cars and sculpture.
