We’ll spend the morning creating landscape and macro images along the beaches and throughout Salem Willows Park. Learn to utilize the best light\, read your histogram to create the best exposure\, and subject development. On this walk we will discuss settings and techniques for long exposures\, architectural photography\, cityscapes\, black and white\, and composition.\nWe will start near Faneuil Hall photographing Quincy Market as the sun sets. We will also discuss “blue hour” and how to capture that vivid blue sky. We will then walk to the Old State House and work on capturing light trails and fine-tuning our long exposures. This walk will have an emphasis on storytelling with lots of opportunities for environmental portraits\, macro\, landscape\, and low light photography\, all under the guise of a 17th century New England settlement. \nFounded more than 65 years ago\, Plimoth Plantation is a living history museum that depicts the life and culture of America’s first settlers in the 17th century. The settlement is complete with houses\, gardens\, animals\, and pilgrims that live and speak just as if it was 1627. The grounds\, homes\, and settlers make for wonderful studies in light\, architecture\, detail\, and portraiture. Also on the property is a full Native American settlement as well. The Wampanoag’s were native to Plymouth before the arrival of our first settlers and the story of their lives\, and how it mixed with the Pilgrims\, is on display as well. This Photo Walk will offer a wide variety of shooting scenarios\, including plants and flowers with an emphasis on macro photography\, sculptures\, vintage cars\, and more. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.\nThe Heritage Museum and Gardens is “the largest public garden in Southern New England”\, with over 100 acres of beautifully kept grounds. In addition to the wide variety of trees\, shrubs\, flowers\, daylilies\, hostas\, herb\, and heather gardens\, the grounds also have historic indoor exhibits\, including one of classic cars and sculpture. We will discuss the many ways these pieces of architecture can be photographed in the evening and night skies. DESCRIPTION:Walk Description\nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education for a workshop that includes a discussion about photographing sunrise\, and an early morning walk of Good Harbor Beach\, Rockport and its harbor\, Bearskin Neck\, and other points of interest. We will discuss Exposure\, Subject Development\, Image Composition\, HDR\, Black & White Photography and more. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.\nRockport is one of the best places to have both a Photo Walk and a class. There’s a great variety to photograph in Rockport\, from architecture to scenery\, from portraits to macro\, in Color and in Black & White. The town is both vibrant and weathered. We will work on composition\, as well as settings to fine-tune focus and exposure. This Photo Walk is one of the best opportunities to build your photographic knowledge\, no matter what level. This walk is equally as beneficial as a first walk or a twentieth walk\, as the area has so much to offer! Join us for a great experience! \nA Guideline for Photo Walks and Workshops during the era of COVID-19\nAs the COVID lockdown ends and social restrictions begin to ease\, we have decided to start offering our popular Hunt’s Photo Walks again.\nHunt’s Photo Education remains dedicated to the health and safety of every single attendee\, student\, and customer\, first and foremost. We also are committed to the best possible learning experience. We have put forth rules and guidelines for Photo Walks that occur during the era of COVID.\n•We will have no more than 6-8 attendees per Photo Walk with a single instructor\n•We ask that all attendees wear a mask. (Please make sure the mask covers your mouth and nose.)\n•We ask that all attendees socially distance 6 feet from one another\, unless you are attending with the other person\n•Hunt’s Photo Educators will be unable to physically handle others’ cameras\n•Consider bringing sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer\n•If you are sick or feeling unwell\, stay home! We will gladly give you credit towards a future walk! \nThese guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
