We will work on composition\, as well as settings to fine-tune focus and exposure. This Photo Walk is one of the best opportunities to build your photographic knowledge\, no matter what level. This walk is equally as beneficial as a first walk or a twentieth walk\, as the area has so much to offer! SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Workshop & Critique: Franklin Park Zoo
DESCRIPTION:Walk Description\nFranklin Park Zoo has over 100 different types of animals for a wide variety of shooting opportunities. Whether you have a safari trip planned and need practice or you just love animals\, this walk will be diverse in subject matter and a whole lot of fun! This will be followed the next night by an image review/critique featuring images taken on the photo walk by each attendee. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome! \nThe Franklin Park Zoo has many indoor and outdoor exhibits which present a variety of photo challenges. Learn wildlife photography in a controlled setting – no waiting hours in the hopes an animal will come along! We’ll discuss composition\, action photography\, and how to get tack sharp images even when your subject is on the move. We’ll work on the best settings to maximize the gear you have to make sure you’re getting your very best images.  \nAfter the walk\, attendees will be asked to edit 2-3 images and submit them for our image review/critique\, which will happen the following Tuesday night. (We have found that giving a couple days gives attendees more of a chance to review and edit to their liking without feeling too rushed!) We will discuss each attendee’s images and look at all the elements of photography discussed on the walk. DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for another entry in our series of natural light portrait workshops where we vary it up by adding in flash! We will emphasize creating portraits using available light through subject placement and composition through the aid of diffusers and reflectors. We will then separately demonstrate reasons to add in flash.\nWe will begin photographing mid-day in the sunlight (and shade) and work to sunset. We will then utilize lower light techniques and photograph during twilight for some spectacular portrait results!\nFor this section\, you are welcome to bring your own flashes and light modifiers (soft boxes\, etc)\, but you also can use what we have with us as well. DESCRIPTION:Walk Description\nFranklin Park Zoo has over 100 different types of animals for a wide variety of shooting opportunities. Whether you have a safari trip planned and need practice or you just love animals\, this walk will be diverse in subject matter and a whole lot of fun! This will be followed the next night by an image review/critique featuring images taken on the photo walk by each attendee. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome! \nThe Franklin Park Zoo has many indoor and outdoor exhibits which present a variety of photo challenges. Learn wildlife photography in a controlled setting – no waiting hours in the hopes an animal will come along! We’ll discuss composition\, action photography\, and how to get tack sharp images even when your subject is on the move. We’ll work on the best settings to maximize the gear you have to make sure you’re getting your very best images.  \nAfter the walk\, attendees will be asked to edit 2-3 images and submit them for our image review/critique\, which will happen the following Tuesday night. (We have found that giving a couple days gives attendees more of a chance to review and edit to their liking without feeling too rushed!) We will discuss each attendee’s images and look at all the elements of photography discussed on the walk. SUMMARY:Hunt's Photo Workshop: A Weekend at Olde Sturbridge Village
DESCRIPTION:Walk Description\nLocated an hour west of Boston\, Sturbridge Village is a proud replication of an 18th century New England town. Sturbridge Village is a living history museum that features many authentic period buildings and homes to explore and enjoy. The village is also inhabited by re-enactors who provide colorful insight to life in New England during the 18th century. Sturbridge Village is a wonderful destination for a multitude of photographic opportunities as well as a glimpse into a bygone era. \nOlde Sturbridge Village is perhaps one of the best places to have both a Photo Workshop and a class. There’s a little bit of everything at this living history museum\, from macro and closeup with fine details to architecture\, from portraits to landscapes. We will photograph both indoors and outdoors\, in regular light as well as very low light. We will discuss how to work with subjects to create a story\, and also work on settings to fine-tune focus and exposure! This Photo Walk is one of the best opportunities to build your photographic knowledge\, no matter what level. This walk is equally as beneficial as a first walk or a twentieth walk\, as the area has so much to offer!\nMost importantly\, because this is a multi-day workshop\, we will be able to spend more time working with our subject matter and discussing what works. \nWe will begin on Friday with an online presentation discussing Sturbridge Village. Because this is online\, you will not need to be in Sturbridge for this portion of the workshop. We will then meet the following morning at Sturbridge Village and work in the village for the day.\nIn the evening\, we will have an image review and critique to discuss photography from the day.\nThe next morning\, we will return to the Village to work further with our subjects. DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a walk in downtown Lowell\, Massachusetts. On this walk\, we will work on architectural photography\, Image composition\, Black and White Photography\, and other ways of creating images expressively.\nThe city of Lowell is a wonderful example of an old New England mill town. A city that was once dominant in the textile industry\, Lowell’s population boomed during much of the 19th century\, peaking in the early 20th century. The grounds\, homes\, and settlers make for wonderful studies in light\, architecture\, detail\, and portraiture. Also on the property is a full Native American settlement as well. The Wampanoag’s were native to Plymouth before the arrival of our first settlers and the story of their lives\, and how it mixed with the Pilgrims\, is on display as well. Plimoth Plantation is a vital look into the lives of our ancestors and the growth of America. \nAfter the walk\, attendees will be asked to edit 2-3 images and submit them for our image review/critique\, which will happen the following Tuesday night. On these walks\, we will discuss the many aspects that go into photographing in low-light\, especially when encountering holiday lights\, including Image Composition\, Long Exposures\, Architectural Photography and many additional aspects of photographing holiday lights. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend!\nEffectively photographing holiday lights during the “blue hour” and at night can be a challenge. However\, with proper exposure and balance of composition\, you have the ability to capture great detail and color through your lenses. Boston Common and the Gardens provide an excellent opportunity to to test out these skills. The Common gets decked out in holiday lights every year\, and combined with the natural beauty of the landscape\, we have a great chance for beautiful nightscapes! Join us for a terrific and beautiful experience!  \nState Policies Regarding COVID-19\n•Every state in New England has different policies for COVID. Please make sure you read and understand the state policies prior to signing up.
