DESCRIPTION:Landscapes are one of the most easily accessible subjects to photographers but this does not mean that landscape photography is easy.  This class will help you prepare for (and feel confident!) shooting in the field and how to edit your images in Lightroom when the shoot is over.  \nStudents are encouraged to bring their laptops with Adobe Lightroom Classic installed as you’ll work through the edits with the instructor on provided images.  \nTopics covered in this course:\n-Dynamic Range\n-Histograms\n-Exposure\n-Focusing\n-Composition\n-Gear\n-Global edits in Lightroom\n-Using graduated filters and adjustment brushes\n-and more! \nWe recommend bringing a laptop for the second half of this class with Adobe Lightroom Classic installed. We will provide images for you to work on\, which we will be demoing on screen at the same time. Please also be advised that this is not meant as an introductory course to Lightroom. We recommend Adobe Lightroom Basics as a precursor to this class.\nPlease be advised: Lightroom Classic is the only version we recommend for this class. Please make sure it is downloaded and make sure you can open it prior to arriving. Many versions of this software exist\, including the similarly named “Adobe Lightroom CC”. It is in fact a slightly different program. While this program has the same general capabilities\, the overall layouts of the two programs are very different. DESCRIPTION:Too often we feel that our photography comes to a halt during inclement weather. However\, there is ample opportunity to make use of our creativity while staying indoors. Many household items– cut flowers\, books\, antiques\, jewelry\, and glassware– all make for wonderful subjects while using natural window light. Every table in your house can become a landscape of opportunity with some imagination and creativity. \nWe will spend our day creating a variety of still life set ups\, unique macro scenarios\, and learning about the use of light and light modifiers.\nIn this workshop we will cover exposure\, composition\, how to use macro lenses and extension tubes\, how to set up lighting\, how to use light modifiers and more! \nWe will be bringing lots of props and flowers to photograph for this workshop. However\, we found on the last couple macro workshops that our attendees value shooting some things of their own as much if not more than what we bring.
