How is it best to set up your camera? If you own a Nikon Z-Series mirrorless camera or are considering getting one and you want to know all the ins and outs of these questions and more\, this bootcamp will be an excellent opportunity!\nWe will begin this course with a presentation of images taken with various Nikon Z-Series cameras. We will then dig into the camera itself\, including the buttons\, the menus\, and other important items of the cameras. After a brief Q&A\, we will then work with the cameras in practical situations. We will have a variety of shooting setups\, including models and still-life setups\, in order to get a practical understanding of how to use some of the functionality on the cameras.\nThis bootcamp is strongly recommended for any Z-Camera owner looking for more information on the cameras\, but is also open to those interested in purchasing a Z-Camera. We will have demo units available to borrow\, and as always\, our rental department also has these cameras in stock!\nSnacks and refreshments will be provided. Join us for a fun night with Nikon!

DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our second Education Open House!\nOur Open House is quite simply a fun meet and greet with some of our Hunt’s Photo Education staff\, as well as a learning opportunity. During the evening\, we’ll be putting on a few unique demos involving editing and printing\, we’ll be looking at our year 2019 in review\, and we’ll be looking forward to 2020 and beyond!  We’ll have some light food to snack on and refreshments. Select vendors will be with us for the evening\, including our friends from Thomson Safari\, who organize our annual Photo Safari to Tanzania. We’ll also have some special giveaways\, including a pair of Photo Walk tickets and gift cards.\nSchedule for the evening: \n6-7pm– Meet and greet with our Educators\, as well as a few manufacturer reps joining us. We will have a few demos going on\, including a short demo on editing & printing with Hunt’s Director of Photo Education.\n7pm– Director of Photo Adventures\, Don Toothaker\, will be giving a special presentation: “A Year of Learning” \nThis is an open invitation and free to anyone that would like to attend\, but since we will have food and refreshments\, registration is appreciated. SUMMARY:Hunt’s Photo Workshop: Using On-Camera Filters\, ft. Nubble Light
DESCRIPTION:In the age of film photography\, filters were used to great effect. Because darkrooms were less accessible for editing (than editing in the digital age)\, filters were used to “get it right in camera”. Despite all the editing programs available today\, it is still best to “get it right in camera”\, and certain filters still produce vastly superior effects that cannot be achieved by post-processing alone. \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education’s Don Toothaker & Ron Phillips for a hands-on photography workshop designed to help attendees create better images by utilizing long-exposure. We will start with a classroom session (location TBD) explaining the different filter types and their uses\, as well as examples of when and why to use them. Circular Polarizers\, Neutral Density Filters\, and ND Graduated Filters will all be covered. After the classroom session\, we will break and reconvene at Nubble Light to put into practice the filters and techniques. We will conclude the walk around 6:30pm.\nWe will have some Benro Neutral Density and Circular Polarizing filters on-hand for attendees to use in order to test the techniques discussed in the class.  \n \nIf you are attending this walk\, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the walk. However\, be advised we will be meeting in York\, Maine.  Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change.
