The Smokies are renowned for their diversity of nature\, abundant plant and wildlife\, rushing streams\, and ancient mountains. The month of April reveals many beautiful aspects of Spring throughout the park as we explore and pursue a variety of subject matter. In Cades Cove\, we will explore the cultural elements of the mountain people. Along Tremont\, we will expand our creativity by photographing rushing water and quiet landscapes. Throughout the park there is an abundance of wildflowers and wildlife to enjoy. From the top of Clingman’s Dome\, we will capture mountain vista’s that are breathtaking. Each day\, we will work on concepts of Subject Development\, Exposure\, Image Composition\, Architectural Photography\, Black and White Photography\, Low Light Photography\, and Long Exposures. There is nothing quite like the Great Smoky Mountains.\nWe will maximize our time in the field with hands on instruction as well as incorporating group discussion\, classroom instruction\, and image review during the workshop.
