DESCRIPTION:Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \nIn this Photoshop mini-session\, we’ll be taking a look at some popular Photoshop effects photographers use to make their images stand out from the crowd. This class focuses on photoshop techniques that help add a final polish to your images. A lens baby style blur effect\, a vintage film effect\, and a high-contrast punchy effect are three of the styles we’ll cover.\nWhether you are familiar with Photoshop and need assistance in portraits\, or you currently use Lightroom or Capture One for editing portraits\, this class will be an excellent opportunity to learn important editing skills in Photoshop! \nIf you are unfamiliar with the basics and workflow in Photoshop\, we recommend considering taking our Photoshop Mini-Session- Basics and Workflow! This course also covers on a good deal of topics that are further discussed in many of our Photoshop Mini-Sessions. For a full list of our PS Mini-Session offerings\, click here. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Question box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions\, but if not\, feel free to ask them at the end. \n“You Are Being Recorded” (And Other Note Related Items)\nWe will be recording this class! The video will be available for download about 24-hours after the class for all attendees\, so don’t worry about taking unending notes. DESCRIPTION:Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \nAfter learning “the basics” of digital photography\, become more comfortable in the world of digital photography by taking the next step.\nNight Photography requires patience and creative vision. Despite the limitations of darkness there is still great detail and color to be captured through your lenses. Low light photography is equally challenging\, but requires a completely different set of techniques. This course specifically covers these two very different yet aesthetically beautiful types of photography.  While our Beginner class scratches the surface of these functions\, this Beyond the Basics class covers the following topics in Low-Light and Night Photography:\n• Exposure\, Focusing\, Settings\, Subject Matter\, and Gear\n• RAW vs. Jpeg shooting\n• Aperture Priority vs. Manual\n• Live View and Manual Focus \nUnderstanding the full-functionality of your camera is a necessity to improving your flexibility when photographing in a variety of situations. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable about how to change your camera’s settings in those situations.
