Should you use a prime or zoom? Do you need a fast aperture? Why are some lenses so much more expensive? And why are some so heavy? There are even more basic questions worth addressing: What does each lens do? And there are some more complicated: Why would I want a 105mm lens vs. an 85mm lens for portraits? Join Hunt’s Photo Education as we walk you through all the things you should consider before purchasing a new lens. \nUnderstanding more about cameras and lenses is a necessity to improving your flexibility when photographing in a variety of situations. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable about what lenses should be used in different situations. It is recommended as a follow-up to our Beginner Photography course. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked.
