Our studio eventually became the “Preferred Wedding Photographer” for Disneyland Anaheim and the Disney Hotel\, amongst many other wedding venues.\nIn 1996 I started using the Kodak/Canon DCS hybrid digital cameras and was hooked on digital photography immediately.  In 1999 I started working for Canon USA as a “stringer”.  That relationship continues to this day.\nI have always mentored beginning photographers and taught them the art and business of photography so they could also make a living from something that they loved to do.\nAfter photographing over 3\,250 weddings over a 43-year career in weddings\, I chose to spend more time teaching photography classes and leading workshops. Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a chance to discuss one of your images in a review and critique session\, where we will discuss many of these topics and how they work in your image. Our Hunt’s Photo Education Team firmly believes that presenting personal work and observing peer work is paramount to the growth and development of your photographic vision. \nThis Week’s Topic\nFor this week’s topic\, all attendees will submit an edited image in black & white. This can either be an image that you have edited that you feel confident in or one in which you have edited and are looking to get a second opinion. We ask that you export the image as a DNG\, or save the RAW file with a XMP sidecar file so that we can reedit the image\, if need be. (If you’re unsure what a DNG file is\, watch this short video about exporting as DNG. If you cannot save the file in either formats\, please submit an edited and unedited version so we can reedit\, if need be.)\nThis is a great chance to look deeper into your images\, as we will really be looking into the specifics of what to set in the editing process and why. We encourage photographers of all levels to consider this course\, as it is as valuable to seasoned professional as it is to a beginner! \nThis class will be a small group of up to 10-15 attendees. So what’s the problem? Have we made it good enough? Have we made the right steps along the way? How can we make it better? This class is all about editing one of your images.\nLeading up to this class\, we will ask for 2-3 images (RAW\, if possible) from you in order to edit ONE of them in class. We will do this with each of our 6-8 attendees and in the end\, we will have discussed a whole slew of topics that will (hopefully) make you a better editor!\nWe are constantly asked: Who should take this class? What if you’re new to Lightroom? Yes- because you’ll see the possibilities in the program! What if you don’t use Lightroom? Sure! We will be using Lightroom\, but the concepts are very similar throughout other similar programs. What if you just use a cell phone or shoot only in JPEG? I don’t see why not! Just because you shoot in JPEG or with a cell phone doesn’t mean you can’t edit your photos.
