SUMMARY:Online: Special Guest Series- Introduction to Wedding Photography- The Basics & The Business\, with Bob Fletcher
DESCRIPTION:Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \nWedding Photography is a tough business. Wedding photographers must have a mastery of their craft in order to properly photograph a wedding\, because it (hopefully) only happens once! They must be able to pose and light their subjects\, and edit\, process\, and deliver the images in a somewhat timely manner. In addition to this\, they also need to be able to handle the business-end of the job\, including how to properly price their services (and get hired). \nJoin Hunt’s Photo Education as we welcome photographer Bob Fletcher. In this introduction\, Bob will discuss much of “the basics and the business” of wedding photography\, including:\n•Today’s wedding market \n•Photographing the wedding\n•Posing & Lighting\n•Deliver of Images\n•Follow Up\n•Photographing weddings for Family & Friends\n•How to make money at weddings\n•Pricing your work – based on experience and your marketplace\n•Training – How do I learn to photograph weddings\n•Equipment – What minimum equipment do I need\n•Paperwork – Contracts\, etc. \nAbout Bob Fletcher\nI started photographing weddings professionally in January 1970. My early years were spent photographing weddings for a studio in Orange County\, California shooting with medium format Hasselblad cameras. I eventually opened my own studio in Corona\, California and my wedding photography took me to many places around the globe– Jamaica\, Mexico\, Italy\, Switzerland\, Alaska\, Canada\, and many\, many states within the USA. Our studio eventually became the “Preferred Wedding Photographer” for Disneyland Anaheim and the Disney Hotel\, amongst many other wedding venues.\nIn 1996 I started using the Kodak/Canon DCS hybrid digital cameras and was hooked on digital photography immediately. In 1999 I started working for Canon USA as a “stringer”. That relationship continues to this day.\nI have always mentored beginning photographers and taught them the art and business of photography so they could also make a living from something that they loved to do.\nAfter photographing over 3\,250 weddings over a 43-year career in weddings\, I chose to spend more time teaching photography classes and leading workshops. I currently spend most of my time working for Canon USA\, teaching and leading workshops but I still like to photograph family and friends weddings on occasion.\nIt is a joy to share with others the love that I have for the art of photography and I thank you for being a part of that. \nPlease note: This class is an introduction to wedding photography. There are many facets to it\, too numerous to fit into an introductory class. We plan to continue these classes as a series\, delving more deeply into many of these topics. We encourage this class as an introduction. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information. \nLayout of the class\nThe class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–around 90 minutes to 2 hours– will be a presentation on the topic\, followed by a short Q&A. During the class\, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions\, but if not\, feel free to ask them at the end. \n“You Are Being Recorded” (And Other Note Related Items)\nWe will be recording this class! The video will be available for download about 24-hours after the class for all attendees\, so don’t worry about taking unending notes. We will send this link attendees to download and rewatch at any time. In addition to this\, we will generally send out a PDF of the presentation (when applicable) and handouts on the topic. If handouts and PDFs are included\, we will send it out with the link for the video. \nCan’t attend the class? \nIf you can’t attend the class but still want to download the video\, no problem: Just sign up for the class! You don’t need to attend and we will send the video link the next day! \nWant to get this class after it’s been run?\nIf you want to purchase this or any other of the classes we have done\, you can certainly do so. Just send us an email at classes@huntsphoto.com and we can send you the invoice. (We prefer having folks in our classes\, but this option is available as well if you want to see it!) \n \nPlease read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.

SUMMARY:Online: Special Guest Series- Extraordinary Bird Photography\, with Mark Buckler
DESCRIPTION:Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run. \nBirds are everywhere and generally approachable…making them popular targets for wildlife photographers…even in urban areas. This learning adventure will teach you how to make extraordinary bird photos\, rather than just getting snapshots of the species that you see. Renowned wildlife and nature photographer (and former wildlife biologist)\, Mark Buckler\, will share his secrets to creating extraordinary bird photos and provide you with the tools that you need to make more interesting and compelling images. This session will concentrate on field techniques\, concepts and tips. If there is enough time\, we may cover some essential processing strategies for your bird images. \nAbout Mark: Mark Buckler has been actively documenting nature for over 30 years. Mark was born on Cape Cod\, MA and his passion for photography was ignited and honed in this area of natural beauty. In 2005\, Mark moved to the Outer Banks of NC\, where he continues to reside and pursue his passion for nature\, wildlife and landscape photography. Mark’s degree in wildlife biology from the University of Vermont and his extensive experience as a wildlife field biologist provides him with a deep understanding of nature and animal behavior. This knowledge enhances Mark’s ability to capture unique and interesting nature images and also put his workshop clients into the right spots to capture the most compelling images. Additionally\, his 15 years of experience as a high school biology teacher contributes to Mark’s ability to offer engaging\, meaningful and enjoyable instructional workshops and presentations. Mark is a renowned photographic instructor who has been invited to teach workshops or give presentations nationwide. Mark’s highly acclaimed images have received numerous international\, national\, regional and local awards. His fine art prints have been featured in many exhibitions and can also be found in several galleries. Mark’s photos have appeared in dozens of magazines and other publications\, Along with co-author\, Steve Alterman\, Mark has documented the abundant wildlife and diverse habitats in and around the Outer Banks in a book\, Coastal Wild – Among the Untamed Outer Banks. \nRegistering and what is needed\nAfter you register for this class\, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class\, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class.
