DESCRIPTION:Join Hunt’s Photo Education for our new Postcard Series of Photo Walks. Our Postcard Series are shorter Photo Walks and focused in concept. While our normal walks are 3-5 hours\, our Postcard series are generally shorter (about 2 hours) and focused on photographing one subject. This one subject is generally that “Postcard Image”\, a unique and distinct looking photograph that everyone loves to have in their portfolio. These walks are excellent for beginners\, as you’re able to concentrate and fine-tune\, as well as intermediate photographers looking for a quick and fun walk. Less walking\, more photographing! \nFor this “Postcard Walk”\, we will be visiting the newly lit up Longfellow Bridge. During the walk\, we will discuss many of the aspects of photographing in low-light and at night\, including exposure\, focusing\, composition\, and more. We will spend a good deal of time photographing the Longfellow Bridge from numerous angles and at different times of the evening. We will make use of evening light\, civil twilight\, and night time. Photographers of all levels are welcome! \n\nIf you are attending this walk\, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the walk. This walk will have an emphasis on storytelling with lots of opportunities for environmental portraits\, macro\, landscape\, and low light photography\, all under the guise of a 17th century New England settlement. \nFounded more than 65 years ago\, Plimoth Plantation is a living history museum that depicts the life and culture of America’s first settlers in the 17th century. The settlement is complete with houses\, gardens\, animals\, and pilgrims that live and speak just as if it was 1627. The grounds\, homes\, and settlers make for wonderful studies in light\, architecture\, detail\, and portraiture. Also on the property is a full Native American settlement as well. The Wampanoag’s were native to Plymouth before the arrival of our first settlers and the story of their lives\, and how it mixed with the Pilgrims\, is on display as well. Plimoth Plantation is a vital look into the lives of our ancestors and the growth of America. \nPlease note: Any photographs taken cannot have commercial use without written consent from Plimoth Plantation.

Specifically\, this class is geared at both students that are just starting out with flash\, as well as those that have been using flash\, but want to learn how to use it more effectively on the camera. Our workshop will emphasize how to best use the flash on-camera. The workshop will also cover light modifiers\, gels and an in-depth description of how to make it work\, including internal remote triggering. Speedlight photography is integral to creating interesting and dynamic photography. Any brand-flash is welcomed and can be discussed. \nWe will begin discussing camera and flash settings\, then move on to photographing each other (as test subjects).
