Last thursday, I head out on my trip to Wisconsin to the North Central Camera Club Council (N4C) Convention. This was Hunt’s first time traveling out to their yearly convention and I was very excited to get going and meet a whole new group of people.
It was not only seeing new faces, but also seeing some friends, two of which were guest speakers! Jennifer Wu, a fantastic night sky photographer, was there to give a presentation on astrophotography. If you missed it and would like to get some invaluable information on the subject, we stock her book. She also blogged for us. Read here.
Another friend at the conference, the ever creative Mike Moats. Mike and I have been friends for awhile, and he is a great macro photographer. His website has a great name too – Tiny Landscapes, very appropriate! Mike gave me a hand in selecting some gear to bring out to this show, based off of what he uses everyday.
I’ve decided to extend some of these specials through this blog post in case you have never stopped at a Hunt’s booth in person.

After a great show, Kathy and Shirley showed me around Hudson, Wisconsin and we had a beautiful day. We started off with a great trolley ride, all to ourselves!
Kathy is an organizer with the N4C and without her the conference just would not have happened. Thank you and great job, I had so much fun.
Next we head over to the Main to Broadway Stairs in Stillwater. These stairs have 157 steps leading 115 vertical feet up. Tiring!
Once we reached the top however, it was all worth it. Amazing view.
Thank you to Kathy and Shirley for showing me around the local views, we had a great day.
Next on my schedule, I will be going out to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the PSA conference. If you are in the area, please stop by! I will be hanging out a few extra days to catch the largest hot air balloon festival in the country, so stay tuned for more updates!
