Creating interesting portraits is a balance between lighting, composition and posing. In this one-day workshop, we will explore each of these components in a hands-on setting. Scott Levine and Otha Sonnie, both portrait photographers, will guide you through each phase and teach you the best practices in each discipline. Bowens studio lights and accessories will be featured as well as a variety of modifiers and other tools. We will be using a model for the practical exercises.
Students are encouraged to bring their camera, memory card, and speedlight, if applicable, for the workshop portion. We will also shoot outdoors, weather permitting. By the end of the workshop, students will have produced images and become much more familiar with the equipment on hand.
This course is “a must” for anyone who is considering purchasing studio strobes or working to enhance their portrait photography!
