Photo Classes, Walks & Workshops
Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a Personal Vision Shootout at Olde Sturbridge Village. This comprehensive walk is geared toward intermediate and advanced photographers. During the walk, we will “strengthen your photographic muscles” by challenging you to work outside of your comfort zone while also developing cohesion in the photographic work you produce.
Located an hour west of Boston, Sturbridge Village is a proud replication of an 18th century New England town. Sturbridge Village is a living history museum that features many authentic period buildings and homes to explore and enjoy. The village is also inhabited by re-enactors who provide colorful insight to life in New England during the 18th century. Sturbridge Village is a wonderful destination for a multitude of photographic opportunities as well as a glimpse into a bygone era.
Our emphasis for the weekend will be on the OSV event Redcoats and Rebels. For the weekend, Olde Sturbridge Village will be turned into a military camp from the Revolutionary Period. We will work to document the fine details of the uniforms, the camps, the personalities, and the stories of this period of history. This will a complex task, and as part of our Personal Vision Shootout, we will have a working assignment as part of our visit for the day. This will be a fun and challenging day with many unique photographic possibilities!
Please note: the cost of your ticket includes the cost of your admission to Olde Sturbridge Village.
