Photo Classes, Walks & Workshops
Landscapes are one of the most easily accessible subjects to photographers but this does not mean that landscape photography is easy. This class will help you prepare for (and feel confident!) shooting in the field and how to edit your images in Lightroom when the shoot is over.
Students are encouraged to bring their laptops with Adobe Lightroom Classic installed as you’ll work through the edits with the instructor on provided images.
Topics covered in this course:
-Dynamic Range
-Histograms
-Exposure
-Focusing
-Composition
-Gear
-Global edits in Lightroom
-Using graduated filters and adjustment brushes
-and more!
We recommend bringing a laptop for the second half of this class with Adobe Lightroom Classic installed. We will provide images for you to work on, which we will be demoing on screen at the same time. Please also be advised that this is not meant as an introductory course to Lightroom. We recommend Adobe Lightroom Basics as a precursor to this class.
Please be advised: Lightroom Classic is the only version we recommend for this class. Please make sure it is downloaded and make sure you can open it prior to arriving. Many versions of this software exist, including the similarly named “Adobe Lightroom CC”. It is in fact a slightly different program. While this program has the same general capabilities, the overall layouts of the two programs are very different. Please note that we recommend using Classic for this class.
