Hunt’s Photo Walk: The North End & Old North Church

Featuring street scenes and architecture in the historic North End of Boston

Recommended prerequisite: Working knowledge of your camera
We also recommend having some of the knowledge from our Beginner Photography class

Walk Description
Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a photo walk to the North End where we will discuss Image Composition, Black and White Photography, and the most effective way to “capture the moment” in a street scene. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.

We will spend the morning photographing one of Boston’s oldest and most notable neighborhoods. In the morning light, the North End is fabulous to take in and many wonderful street scenes can be found. We will discuss composition and Black & White and how it pertains to each street scene. We will then continue toward Old North Church to take in the architecture of the area. This is a walk that will challenge your abilities, but will ultimately be a rewarding experience!

COVID-19 Policies for outdoor Hunt’s Photo Walks and Workshops
Face masks are recommended, but not required for our outdoor Photo Walks. We also ask that you maintain social distance whenever possible.

As always, if you are sick or feeling unwell, STAY HOME! We will gladly give you a credit towards a future walk.

Dress and Gear

•Make sure to dress accordingly with the most current weather report.
•Consider bringing wide angle or standard zoom lenses, and a telephoto zoom lens
•A prime lens (or even a macro) may also suit you well.
•You can bring a telephoto zoom lens, but be advised to bring only what you want to carry.
•You can bring a tripod (with a quick release plate), but remember to bring only what you want to carry. You may not need a tripod!
•Feel free to bring snacks and water
•Bring an extra camera battery and memory cards.
•As always, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!
