GoPro cameras are considered some of the best, most versatile cameras in the world. Their size and simplicity are perfect for portability and placement, allowing for a multitude of possibilities from angles of view never-before-seen on camera.
However, these cameras take time to master. Knowing exactly what mount to use, at what angle to place the camera, and how to best navigate their seemingly simple menu system can be advantageous when in the correct moment.
Our GoPro educational series is meant to enhance your knowledge of the camera and make you better prepared at creating excellent images and videos. In Part 1, we take a look at the cameras and their menus and functions, set up on different mounts, and begin shooting. We place a high emphasis not only on shooting, but how to create a story from a series of shots in Part 1, which we will create through editing. In Part 2, we will review footage shot in the time between the two classes and begin develop a narrative through editing in the GoPro software. By the end of Part 2, students will be on their way toward a finished product, which we will review at the end of the class for content and style.
But first, check out this amazing video-
Yup. All GoPro cameras.

For Part 2, you will need a laptop and your GoPro camera (or memory card with an adapter) for reading the videos.
