Boudoir Photography is a very intimate and personal endeavor for both the photographer and the client. It requires a certain level of privacy as well as an openness to reveal a different side of one’s life for another- a sort of “public-private”. There are certain unwritten guidelines that should be followed when one wants to include Boudoir in their repertoire of photography services, including but not limited to the comfort, composition and appearance of the client.
Dani Fine Photography and Image Studio has been successful in many realms of photography, but saw tremendous financial growth when introducing boudoir photography to their offerings. In 2015 alone, the studio booked over 330 boudoir studio sessions. During this class, Dani and her team will review everything from finding clients, to booking them, the poses, makeup, outfit selections and everything that goes into creating the images as well as how to sell it!
Course outline:
9-11am- The Art of Boudoir Photography- Dani and her team will discuss the art of creating boudoir images. There will be a panel- including Dani, a model and a hair/makeup artist- to discuss a variety of aspects of the process including the basics of posing, hair and makeup and the basics of the shoot. There will also be a Q&A with the panel to answer any questions attendees may have.
11-11:30am- Short Break- Hunt’s Photo will have Dani’s book for sale and available for signing. We will have assorted snacks and water available.
11:30-12:30pm- The Business of Boudoir Photography- Dani will discuss the business aspects of Boudoir Photography and how to use it to “fill in the gaps” during any season. For anyone looking to augment their business, this section is not to be missed!
This class will include panel discussions, lecture, and slideshow images. Please be aware that while it will also include mock posing of a model, it will not include a boudoir shoot.
