Photo Classes, Walks & Workshops
Join photographers Bobbi Lane and Lee Varis in conjunction with Hunt’s Photo Education for a unique portrait workshop experience.
This weekend workshop provides a hands-on experience learning Hollywood style lighting, posing and studio workflow. Work in the studio with male and female models to re-create the classic glamour photography of the 1930’s and 40’s under the expert guidance of Bobbi and Lee. The famous Hollywood photographer George Hurrell rented Bobbi Lane’s studio for the last 10 years of his life, and this provided Bobbi with an unprecedented opportunity to learn from the master himself—Bobbi shares this first hand knowledge with participants in two fun-filled days. Learn to work with modern studio lights to get the highly stylized look of the classic Hollywood glamour without requiring the use of old fashioned clumsy “hot lights” The afternoon of the 2nd day will be used for post-processing instruction by Lee Varis. Lee demonstrates how to use Lightroom and Photoshop to create the classic B&W glamour imagery, including various retouching techniques for enhancing portraits.
For someone looking to expand their portfolio or learn advanced techniques in lighting, posing, and directing, look no further than this workshop. Please note: This course is not a “basics” course and is designed with Intermediate and Advanced Photographers in mind.
Upon successful completion of this workshop, participants will leave with a foundation of technical and artistic skills necessary to achieve the look of classic Hollywood glamour photography. Topics covered include:
