Hunt’s Photo Walk: Downtown Portland in the Evening

We also recommend having some of the knowledge from our Beginner Photography class

Walk Description
Join Hunt’s Photo Education for an evening/night photography walk in downtown Portland, Maine. With a refreshing blend of old and new Portland is a thriving urban center. We will explore the Old Port and capitalize on scenes depicting the city’s rich fishing and shipping legacy. We will then continue into downtown Portland to photograph the nighttime scenery.

Updated COVID-19 Policies for outdoor Hunt’s Photo Walks and Workshops
Hunt’s Photo Education is aligning with CDC and state guidelines and will no longer require face masks for our outdoor Photo Walks. If you are more comfortable wearing a mask, please feel free to do so. We also recommend bringing a mask, just in case. We also ask that you maintain social distance of 6 feet from one another.
Hunt’s Photo Education will still adhere to our 8 person attendee maximum per Photo Walk with a single instructor (unless otherwise noted).
As always, if you are sick or feeling unwell, STAY HOME! We will gladly give you a credit towards a future walk.

If you are attending this walk, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the walk. Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change. This email will detail any of those minor changes.

Dress and Gear

•Make sure to dress accordingly with the most current weather report.
•Consider bringing wide angle or standard zoom lenses, and a telephoto zoom lens
•A prime lens (or even a macro) may also suit you well.
•You can bring a telephoto zoom lens, but be advised to bring only what you want to carry.
•Make sure to bring your tripod with a quick release plate and a shutter release, if you have one.
•Feel free to bring snacks and water, and a flashlight will likely help as well.
•Bring an extra camera battery and memory cards.
•As always, bring your enthusiasm and creative thoughts!
