Hunt’s Portrait Workshop: Portraits with Natural Light (and Flash!)

May 8, 2021, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

$149.99

Featuring portraits in natural light & flash!

Recommended prerequisite: Working knowledge of your camera
We also recommend having some of the knowledge from our Beginner Photography class

All Skill Levels Welcome

Instructors: Don Toothaker & Paul Nelson

Class Size: Maximum 10 attendees

Join Hunt’s Photo Education for another entry in our series of portrait workshops where we will be working in natural light and mixing it up with flash! We will emphasize creating portraits using available light through subject placement and composition through the aid of diffusers and reflectors. We will then separately demonstrate reasons to add in flash.

We will begin photographing mid-day in the sunlight (and shade) and work to sunset. We will then utilize lower light techniques and photograph during twilight for some spectacular portrait results!

For this workshop, you are welcome to bring your own flashes and light modifiers (soft boxes, etc), but you also can use what we have with us as well. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.

For our meeting location, we have chosen downtown Haverhill, Massachusetts. With a variety of brick buildings and urban environments, downtown Haverhill (or any downtown area) can offer a wonderful variety of shooting environments. This workshop will help emphasize those capabilities.

A Guideline for Photo Walks during the era of COVID-19

Hunt’s Photo Education remains dedicated to the health and safety of every single attendee, student, and customer, first and foremost. We also are committed to the best possible learning experience. We have put forth rules and guidelines for Photo Walks that occur during the era of COVID.
•We will have no more than 6-8 attendees per Photo Walk with a single instructor
•We ask that all attendees wear a mask. (Please make sure the mask covers your mouth and nose.)
•We ask that all attendees socially distance 6 feet from one another, unless you are attending with the other person
•Hunt’s Photo Educators will be unable to physically handle others’ cameras
•Consider bringing sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer
•If you are sick or feeling unwell, stay home! We will gladly give you credit towards a future walk!
These guidelines will stay in place until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at classes@huntsphoto.com.
