Join Hunt’s Photo Education for another entry in our series of portrait workshops where we will be emphasizing subject posing in portraits! In this multi-session workshop, we will discuss basic posing techniques and how to position your subject’s hands and body, and how to use angles, perspective, and depth of field to create a successful portrait. We will also discuss subject expression and how it relates to lighting! This will be a very fun and informative class! We will have an introductory presentation on Tuesday August 17th at 7pm where we will discuss a number of these principles. Can’t attend this presentation or signing up late? We’ll send you a link in order to watch it on-demand. We will then meet on Sunday August 22nd at the Stevens-Coolidge Place in North Andover for the workshop. The Stevens-Coolidge place is a beautiful area for portraits and an excellent chance to learn posing. After the workshop, attendees will be able to work with and digitally submit a handful of images for an online image review, to be held the following week. During that image review, we will be able to see others’ work, discuss elements of subject positioning, lighting, composition and more, and consider editing choices. This workshop will also emphasize creating portraits using available light through subject placement and composition through the aid of diffusers and reflectors. We will begin photographing in the morning and use a variety of techniques to create successful portraits. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.
