Merrimack River Eagle Festival 2020

Come to Newburyport and Amesbury on Saturday, February 15, for a full day of fun indoor and outdoor activities celebrating the return of our Bald Eagles!

Learn more about these magnificent birds—as well as other amazing raptors such as Snowy Owls—and why our local habitat is so important to them.

Bring your camera for landscape and wildlife photography pointers from Hunt’s Photo and Video for this special Eagle Festival guided tour. Our birding guides and photography instructors will take you by van to wildlife viewing spots in the greater Newburyport area and help you see all that each location has to offer. The van will stay at each location as long as necessary for everyone to get a good shot at the wildlife and vistas. We can’t promise you’ll see all of these, but there are good possibilities for Red-breasted and Common mergansers, Long-tailed Ducks, Buffleheads, Bald Eagles, and Great Cormorants.

Instructions and Directions:
Meet at the Newburyport Chamber of Commerce at 38R Merrimac Street. Bring your camera and dress for the weather with warm layers and sturdy shoes.

Eagle Festival Cancellation Policy: We cannot issue any refunds for cancellations made by participants with less than 48 hours’ notice. If we must cancel Eagle Festival due to hazardous conditions, we will refund all payments.
