Photo Classes, Walks & Workshops
In response to COVID-19 and recommendations by the CDC of social distancing, Hunt’s Photo Education is presenting our new series of online classes! (Hey! We wanted to do it anyway, this just sped up the process!) These courses will be shorter (about 1 hour), online versions of many classes that we currently offer, plus a few new ones, and include Q&A at the end.
Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run.
Are you interested in astrophotography, but aren’t sure where to start? Want to learn how to capture dynamic images of the night sky and how to process them? Join Emily Hojnowski of Hunt’s Photo Education as she walks you through her step-by-step astrophotography process. The class will cover everything you need to get started: brainstorming an idea, planning the shot, working in the field, and processing the image in Lightroom. More specifically, we will also cover…
• Exposure, Focusing, Settings, Subject Matter, and Gear
• Aperture Priority vs. Manual
• Live View and Manual Focus
Understanding the full-functionality of your camera is a necessity to improving your flexibility when photographing in a variety of situations. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable about how to change your camera’s settings in those situations. It is recommended as a follow-up to our Beginner Photography course.
Registering and what is needed
After you register for this class, you will receive a confirmation email that you have signed up. About 24 hours prior to the class time, we will send out an email with the weblink for you to follow as well as information on how to access the class online. (It’s pretty easy, but we’ll walk you through it in a quick online video!)
Layout of the class
The class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic, followed by a short Q&A. During the class, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions, but if not, feel free to ask them at the end.
Please read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.
