Photo Classes, Walks & Workshops
Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run.
After learning “the basics” of digital photography, become more comfortable in the world of digital photography by taking the next step.
For some photographers, there is only the manual mode. But why is it important to shoot in the Manual mode? Are there reasons to use manual vs. Aperture priority and vice-versa? How can we maximize usability?
While our Beginner class scratches the surface of these functions, our Beyond the Basics class goes over in-depth:
-Your Camera’s Light Meter and how it works
-Use of Aperture Priority vs. Manual modes
-Histograms
-Photographing in RAW vs. Jpeg
Understanding the full-functionality of your camera is a necessity to improving your flexibility when photographing in a variety of situations. This course is designed to help you feel more comfortable about how to change your camera’s settings in those situations. It is recommended as a follow-up to our Beginner Photography course.
Registering and what is needed
After you register for this class, you will receive a confirmation email that you have signed up. About 24 hours prior to the class time, we will send out an email with the weblink for you to follow as well as information on how to access the class online. (It’s pretty easy, but we’ll walk you through it in a quick online video!)
Layout of the class
The class will begin promptly at the time listed. The majority of the class–roughly 1 hour– will be a presentation on the topic, followed by a short Q&A. During the class, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions, but if not, feel free to ask them at the end.
Please read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.
