Photo Classes, Walks & Workshops
Wednesday May 6th, 7-8:30pm • Online!
Prerequisite: We will be collecting an UNEDITED RAW image from each attendee for this critique session
Instructor: Don Toothaker
Class Size: Limited to 10-15 attendees/session
Below the course description (but before registration) will be a short explanation on how the class will run.
There is so much to think about in photography– from settings and composition to editing and post processing and so much more– that it can be easy to get lost within your images. Join Hunt’s Photo Education for a chance to discuss one of your images in a review and critique session, where we will discuss many of these topics and how they work in your image. Our Hunt’s Photo Education Team firmly believes that presenting personal work and observing peer work is paramount to the growth and development of your photographic vision.
This Week’s Topic
For this week’s topic, all attendees will submit an unedited RAW image. This can either be an image that you want to have critiqued for its technical prowess alone OR an image that you would like to have looked at from an editing perspective (in other words, giving suggestions on what direction to take the image in editing). This is a wonderful, unique opportunity, as editing can cover up many flaws, and in viewing unedited images, we strip our images down to the bare essentials! We encourage photographers of all levels to consider this course, as it is as valuable to seasoned professional as it is to a beginner!
This class will be a small group of up to 10-15 attendees. Upon registering, you will receive a confirmation email that will include a link in order to upload images to us for the image review. We will also send out a reminder email a few days prior. Make sure to leave yourself enough time to upload your photo!
During the critique, all attendees will be muted. When we critique your image, we will unmute you, so please have a working microphone on your computer/tablet.
Join us for this exciting opportunity to share your photographic work with the community!
Registering and what is needed
After you register for this class, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about how to access the online class, including an online ID code that you will need to get into the class. Make sure to save this information. We will also send a reminder email about 48 hours prior to the class time with that same information.
Layout of the class
Our course layout is simple. This course will last about 90 minutes. During that time, all attendees will be muted. When we critique your image, we will unmute you, so please have a working microphone on your computer/tablet.
During the class, you are welcome to type in questions in the Chat box if you have specific questions as they are asked. We will do our best to answer those questions, but if not, feel free to ask them at the end.
“You Are Being Recorded” (And Other Note Related Items)
We will be recording this class! The video will be available for download about 24-hours after the class for all attendees, so don’t worry about taking unending notes. We will send this link attendees to download and rewatch at any time. In addition to this, we will generally send out a PDF of the presentation (when applicable) and handouts on the topic. If handouts and PDFs are included, we will send it out with the link for the video.
Can’t attend the class?
If you can’t attend the class but still want to download the video, no problem: Just sign up for the class! You don’t need to attend and we will send the video and PDF link the next day!
Want to get this class after it’s been run?
