Photo Classes, Walks & Workshops
Here’s a fun fact about printing: What you see on your monitor is not what you will see on your print. You shouldn’t expect it to be, since the print is its own entity. A print can be soft or harsh– smooth, glossy, flat– and evoke more than what a monitor can.
If that’s the case, there is so much more to think about in printing: Color management and working environment, general exposure and editing choices when considering printing, black & white considerations, paper options and editing choices for those options, print sizing as well as finishing, such as UV protection, framing and matting. In this course, we’ll be diving into all of these topics. While the emphasis of this course is on printing yourself, these topics are also absolutely relevant if you are printing in a photo lab, whether online or in-store. This is also an important look into the world of photo editing, regardless of whether you print or not. Join us for an essential class on how to see things better in the world of printing!
