Join Christopher Georgia at Hunts Photo & Video in Manchester, New Hampshire on January 7th 2015 for the first segment of a three-part seminar for the opportunity to learn the process and workflow behind his astrophotography.
Night one is scheduled for an in depth discussion about the equipment and tools used to capture images of the stars. He will talk about smartphone apps that help find locations of the night skies as well as apps that help with setting up compositions and planning shoots. A display of his equipment used will be available along with a visual presentation including still images, blended images, panoramas, and a short time lapse film.
Night two is all about the techniques involved in getting the right shot. Christopher will be explaining the methods step by step to create still images, panoramas, and time lapse. His shooting workflow will include setting up tripods and cameras for still shots and panoramas, focusing methods, the rule of 500, a capturing star trails, and more.
Night three will encompass Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop workflow. A tutorial from start to finish using RAW files straight out of the camera showing how to process images to get the most out of a RAW file. Christopher will walk you through a RAW file in Lightroom and discuss what he is doing with each tool and why. Then he will bring the image into Photoshop for finishing touches.
