Join photographer Don Toothaker and special guest photographer Rick Gerrity for a unique walk that recreates an old Civil War Encampment at the Eastleigh Farm in Framingham. On the walk, we will discuss Subject Development, Image Composition, Long Exposures, Black and White Photography, and Architectural Photography. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.
The Civil War raged in our country from 1861 to 1865. The war between the North and the South threatened to permanently split our newly formed nation but, in the end, the Union prevailed and our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and our government was kept intact. Today, many reenactors keep the discussion, the era, and the struggle alive through series of living history displays.
We will spend the afternoon at Eastleigh Farm in Framingham where reenactors will live in camps depicting life of a Civil War soldier. We will move throughout the camps to photograph and learn the people, equipment, details, and mood of the Civil War. We will also see and photograph musket firing, cannon fire, mounted cavalry, and more.
If you are attending this walk, we will send out more specific instructions to you a few days prior to the walk. Please note: Some slight details above can be subject to change. This email will detail any of those minor changes.
Please read Hunt’s Terms & Conditions before signing up.
If you are interested in learning a little more about your camera (or anything else photographic-related) prior to the walk, we would love to have you for a Custom 1-on-1 class.
