Saturday March 19th, 9am-2pm • Hunt’s Photo, Melrose
Recommended prerequisite: Working knowledge of your camera
We also recommend having some of the knowledge from our Beginner Photography class
A flash is not necessary, but may be helpful!
All Skill Levels Welcome
Instructor: Paul Nelson
Class Size: Maximum 10 attendees
Course Description
This class is all about two things: Learning how to use the basics of your flash on the camera and how (and why) to take the flash off the camera.
Join Hunt’s Photo Educator Paul Nelson as we discuss how to take pictures using a speedlight, and make them look great, no matter what the situation. We will discuss photographing people, but also photographing product and how flashes work. We’ll talk all about the basics, including modes, settings, and more!
Whether you own a flash and have no idea how to use it, you want to take great photos at functions and family events that are in low light, or you just want to learn how to add a flash into your repertoire, this course is for you!
What to Bring
- A standard zoom lens is a good starting point
- You are welcome to bring your own flash and light modifier (soft box, etc) and any other flash accessories you are interested in using, or you may use what we have
Please Note: A Slight Change to COVID-19 Policies on Masks and Social Distancing
Until further notice, we will be requiring masks for our indoor classes. We also ask that you socially distance whenever possible.
As always, if you are sick or feeling unwell, STAY HOME! We will gladly give you a credit towards a future class.
